• Classroom management theorist

• His goal was to integrate instruction and discipline in the classroom

• Most known for his two studies in the 1970’s

• Main focus was preventative discipline

• Kounin believed that successful classroom management relied on teachers ability to organize and plan their lessons while using proactive behavior and high student involvement.
