2013

Message From Marcia Mintz Halfway through the year, we find

that we have a lot to celebrate

at the John C. Lincoln Health

Foundation. In just six short

months, you have impacted our

community in immeasurable ways.

Your philanthropic contributions

have enabled us to enhance

the level of care we offer to

our community members and

to provide for our neighbors in

need. Because of your generosity,

together we are changing and

saving lives.

On behalf of the John C. Lincoln

Health Foundation and everyone

our programs support, I want to

extend our sincerest appreciation

for your philanthropic contributions.

I hope you enjoy learning about

the difference your dollars are

making in our community.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Marcia L. Mintz

Chief Executive Officer

John C. Lincoln Health Foundation

Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust has awarded a $500,000 capital grant to

support G-60, the new geriatric trauma services program at John C. Lincoln North

Mountain Hospital. The grant will go toward the renovation of four hospital

rooms for trauma patients in the G-60 program, designed specifically for patients

age 60 and older.

In April, the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable

Trust awarded Desert Mission Food Bank a

$100,000 grant for the purchase a refrigerated

truck. This new truck will enable the Food Bank

to safely procure and distribute perishable and

non-perishable food to a growing number of

hungry families in our community. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 40,752

emergency food bags to low-income individuals (with incomes at or below 185

percent of Federal Poverty level), a 12 percent increase over 2011.
