The Marco Island Marriott Hotel has "sold out." We have made alternate arrangements at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa. The rate will remain $99.00 per night plus tax, but there will be a $10.00 self-parking fee. The Hilton is less than a five minute walk to the Marriott, and is a very nice property. The hotel will be ready to accept reservations beginning late Monday or early Tuesday. Reservations must be made by August 11. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of one of the largest conventions in recent history with nearly 1,000 participants. Call 239-394-5000 to make reservations. The 100 room block is under The Florida District of Kiwanis International.

Heavenly Father, Let Your light, which shines on all people, reveal those who need our help. Let Your light warm the hearts of those in the community who can help us in our service work. And let Your light illuminate the lives of the children whom we help. And now bless this food to our use and us to Your service. Amen

Please join us in making our 18th Annual BACK TO SCHOOL WITH BEAM the success that you have helped to make it for the past 17 years. Our beaches children need your help as beaches families continue to struggle to find jobs and pay their bills. Back to School with BEAM, on SATURDAY, AUGUST 13th, at Beach United Methodist Church, helps beaches children get ready for school, which starts on August 23rd in Duval County. The children will receive new backpacks, new school supplies, new shoe vouchers, new socks and underwear, dental supplies, and gently used clothing and shoes. Back to School with BEAM dollars are also used for our dental outreach. As in past years, our goal is to reach as many beaches children and families during Back to School with BEAM as possible. This year the need is going to be greater than ever.
