Member Committee President message: On the 15th of September 2012 AIESEC Singapore hosted its annual Jumpstart Conference with the theme, I Dream, I Create, I Enable. The annual Jumpstart Conference brings together our student volunteers across four universities in Singapore namely; Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Management, and Singapore Management University. This year we had over two hundred delegates, making it one of the largest Jumpstart Conferences we have ever held. Previously just a conference for new members, we have opened up the conference to our wider volunteer base and saw a large growth in the number of these delegates. In Jumpstart 2012, we ran a variety of sessions, networking and activities for the delegates. In addition, we have also split the delegates into different tracks depending on their roles in the organisation. Examples of this include a specialised leadership development track run by Microsoft called LEAD which was run for our local committee executive board and also a networking lunch for all members to further their conversations with each other and network with many of our key stakeholders. Overall the conference was a big success and as you read through this report I hope that the energy and passion of the day comes through. As a member of the facilitation team, I speak for all of us when I say that the conference was a great reminder of why we do what we do in AIESEC. I want to thank our hosts, partners, facilitation team, organising committee and all the delegates for their contribution in making this event both possible and empowering. Yours Sincerely, Member Committee President AIESEC Singapore
About Jumpstart 2012: I Dream, I Create, I Enable
Organizing Committee President message:
JumpStart! (JS) 2012 was a great success and gathered very positive feedback from the
delegates. The conference saw the energy and passion from over 200 young individuals
from AIESEC Singapore “to dream, create and enable”. This year, we have achieved strong
external support from merchandise sponsors, corporate partners and alumni.
Here, as the OCP of JS 2012, I want to give my greatest appreciation to my OC members,
the agenda manager, Farzana, and our coach, Edwin, without whom this conference could
be so successful and impactful.
Yours Sincerely,
Sunny Huang Shiqi
