Check in to your hotel on the Plaza A local tradition for 90 years, Plaza Lights is a 15-block holiday spectacle on the famed Country Club Plaza, featuring thousands of glimmering, jewel-colored lights that accentuate every dome, tower and window of the Spanish-inspired shopping district. Stroll through 15 city blocks with 129 stores of Spanish-inspired architecture and discover dozens of fountains, shop trendy designer brands and dine at beloved restaurants of Kansas City. ~~ Overnight at your hotel on the Plaza Day 2 - Friday, December 4 After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart our hotel for Crown Center. It will be good to wear comfortable shoes again today, because you will cover a lot of area in Crown Center. Many Specialty Shops, stores and restaurants for your pleasure all decorated for the holidays. Marvel at the beautiful fountains as you shop in Crown Center. You will have many options for lunch. For Dinner we will enjoy one of the KC famous Bar B Q “joints” (Dinner on your own) . ~~ Overnight at your hotel on the Plaza Meal…B Day 3 - Saturday, December 5 After breakfast at your hotel, we will head to the beautiful Union Station. Kansas City. Union Station opened in 1914, serving Kansas City, Missouri, and the surrounding metropolitan area. It replaced a small Union Depot from 1878. Union Station served a peak annual traffic of more than 670,000 passengers in 1945, At the end of World War II, the Station quickly declined in the 1950s, and was closed in 1985. With a $250 million dollar refurbishment, Union Station reopened in 1999 showcasing exhibit’s and museums.
