o The capstone should consist of a minimum of 75-100 hours of substantial work.
o Opportunity to apply and integrate key concepts from each course in your program of study.
o Must collaborate with their school community to identify an authentic and challenging technology-related need, problem, or research study to complete within the school, district or other educational agency.
o Design, implement, and evaluate an appropriate solution to meet the need, problem or research study.

Course GoalsTo gain a deeper understanding of the field of educational technology, including the history of the discipline, future career options, and professional organizations/resources to support ongoing learning.
To develop a vision for technology use in K-12 schools and a research-based rationale to support that vision.
To understand and assess essential conditions for effective technology implementations in K-12 schools
To develop a school-level strategic plan to strengthen the essential conditions and to realize students’ vision for technology use.
