Two Cents.
This issue, Rix-o gets the torch. But not from me. Guest editor, Chase Bartee, helped
me out. Thanks to both of you guys for contributing!
Nick Rix. Ollie up Wallie.
You and Dan have been making videos together since you were both knee high. It's been really cool to watch both you guys progress in your respective talents.
What can we expect from this latest collaboration? Care to leak any names for full parts?
Dans new video should be a bit different and better than his last, that's for sure. Full
parts are always up in the air for the first couple of months of filming, so I can't really drop names. Expect a lot of providence locals and some people you may have never seen
clips of who deserve the shine.
I think there are a lot of kids in Providence that don't get the recognition they deserve. Who do you skate with that inspires you? What locals have caught your eye lately?
I've just been getting inspired by you and Eric being my roommates. Living with two
dudes I looked up too in providence back in the day is a trip. Recently my homie Jordan Sihavong has been sticking out in the providence skate scene. I've known him
for a really long time and to watch him improve and stick with skating is really dope.
Yeah, Jordan is a ripper for sure. As for me and Eric, I think we are just as hyped to have someone youthful around to keep us off our asses.Well Nick, thanks for chatting.
Any last words or shout outs? Shouts to John Till, Pete Chav, John Lavoie, Derek Rooney, Eric Vogel, Capen Snyder, Donovan Hurley,
Thom Musso, Dan Mcgrath, Shawn Conroy, Matt Benevides, everyone at Mood, Aj Catholdi, Steve Faraone, Kevin Lynch, LCS family, Will Cornwall, All the providence homies, my family, and many
others that have helped me out in the past few years. Skateboarding is the fountain of youth.
So let me start by asking you a little bit about the past couple of years. Where have you been and what have you been up to? In the summer of 2011 I went out to New York with intentions to visit for two weeks. A couple weeks turned into a couple months and I was eventually ofeeed a ull ttme job out there with a lot of good friends from providence. While I was out there i met a lot of new people and had the opportunity to fil uii ideo part in New York City. Last month I moved back to providence because I wasn't happy and felt like i was growing up a little too fast out there. Yeah, New York has a way of doing that to people. Its a pretty big move for (at the time) a teenager. Do you feel like your experience out there has given you a new perspective now that you're back in Providence? It took me a while to realized it but yes. Being in New York is one hell of an experience and it also prepares you for the rest of the world and your whole entire outlook on life. Sounds like you get your money's worth. I'm sure I speak for most when I say it's good to have you back. Speaking of which, now that your here, what are your plans for the near future? I'm currently working a part time job, skating as much as i can and fiming ith Dan McGrath for his next video.
