• connects young people with local employers & businesses • informal style not prescriptive • school Young Chamber Council is elected (with teacher help)• the programme is driven by the students themselves • YC Council organises the programme of events & activities • local Chamber of Commerce links YC with businesses• YC is structured & representative across year groups• it uses enterprise to engage the school in community affairs
