Ensure that the PI Profile is complete and accurate. A complete and accurate profile will help you fill out protocols quickly and manage laboratory compliance efficiently:
Designed as a integrated compliance system for activities that require tracking and/or reporting of:
Permitting (e.g. use of biological agents, animals, etc.) Material Inventories (e.g. chemicals, radioactive materials, etc.) Personnel Training (e.g. safety orientation, refresher, etc.) Safety Related Equipment Data (e.g. types, quality assurance, etc.) Locations of Use or Storage (e.g. space suitability, security) Procedures Performed (e.g. types of experiments, special agency
reportable procedures, etc.)

PI Centered PI is defined in a flexible way to be a research PI, manager, other
Integrated for a given person i.e. all activities are connected
Each basic grouping dictates other conditions e.g. materials used dictates location, equipment, training, etc.
Single data source i.e. once data entered it is reused for all other needs
Ties permit to funding source

Program Management Focus on:
Link ROHP into Existing BU Processes Create new processes that do not exist today and integrate with
key groups Unhook ROHP from processes that do not work
Other Activities: Program consolidation across the campuses Fit and alignment of SOPs and Best Practices Establish communication linkages Trend Incidents and Outcomes and review / report monthly Establish comprehensive review of risks with EHS, Human
Resources, Risk Management and experts in lab operations
What We Do Not Do Workers’ Comp and Injury Management:
Ankle sprains, carpel tunnel, colds, back pain, medications, etc…
If an injury occurs, seek treatment at BMC OEM or CRC OHC
Report Injury to Supervisor and Supervisor Notifies ROHP. Why? ROHP would like the information to assess whether any
trends emerge that could indicate workplace safety issues or related to a prior exposure event
