The WfF initiative provides a proactive means to promote collaboration,
the sharing of ideas, and to find solutions to common problems across
the total Army; and to assist brigade formations to learn, innovate,
decide, and act faster than their adversaries while operating in a
condition of persistent conflict.
WfF Concept
WfF Mission
• Enhance BCT leader, leader team, and unit training and operations
throughout the ARFORGEN process
• Incorporate lessons learned by all BCTs to improve future mission
performance
• Support preparation for and conduct of full spectrum operations
• Serve as conduits of AC/RC BCT and Functional/Multi-Functional
Brigade operational experience for all DOTMLPF issues

• A WfF with capabilities the field wants, enabled by a seamless enterprise driven architecture. Optimized to train as we fight!
• A basic web approach with interdependent capabilities that support virtual collaboration across the Army (ultimately Joint and Interagency)
• Uses the “best of breed” across networks…not redundant
• Can personalize WfF as easily as FaceBook and use it similarly
• We do not stifle WfF with bureaucracy, organization, hierarchy, and
rigor…no wiring diagrams!
It’s not so much what we call what we are building, who builds it, or who
runs it. It does matter that WE BUILD IT and make it work for our Army
