*HYMN 321 The Church’s One Foundation AURELIA *CALL TO CONFESSION AND PRAYER OF CONFESSIONCreator God, in creating each one of us, you give us unique bodies and personalities, and differing gifts and talents. Forgive us for the times when we have denied our gifts, or sought to alter our bodies or our personalities to conform to societal norms. Forgive us for acting inauthentically, and for comparing ourselves to others rather than rejoicing in who we are. Remind us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and help us to give thanks for our uniqueness. Amen.
WORDS OF FORGIVENESSOne: Friends, hear and believe the good news of the Gospel:All: We are saved by grace through faith. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God. Amen. *HYMN 582

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
