The CLI WSD Team carried out an inspection on the 3rd,4t hand 5th Avenue respectively.
According to shop owners at 3rd Avenue, 31 road, the operator is on ground but not effective in operation.
Residents and shop owners at 34 road 3rd avenue, said they use big bin at Ponle Gowon estate for waste disposal and therefore not patronizing PSP operator.
Shop owners at barracks behind Ahmed Bola Tinubu model market complained that operator is always in a hurry and don’t allow them to drop their waste.
Some shop owners also complained of high charges for waste collection by the operator which resulted to low patronage to PSP operator.
Waste were observed both left and right at 31 road 3rd avenue down to 5th avenue round about to attest to ineffectiveness of operator in that area.
Residents of 4th Avenue consist of Police, Navy and Army Barracks which are not ready to pay for waste generated.

Most of the residents on 4th Avenue don’t want to patronize PSP operation.
Operator activity is more encouraging at 5th Avenue,as the whole area were free from waste and residents spoke positively about
One-on-one Advocacy was held.
CLI team advised the residents and shop owners to start giving their waste to PSP operator incharge of the area and ensure prompt payment for waste collection.

Shop owner interviewed by the team complained of refusal of Iyalaje PSP operator to pick the waste even on several calls. He went ahead to lament on continuous visit and picture taken by CLI team and nothing is being done. He further pleads the support of the team to ensure that the waste is cleared as soon as possible.

REMARKS:
1) The PSP Messrs Lasbinjo who replaced Messrs Guesstimate on the ward was contacted to
cart the waste on Joseph Odunlami st, which was done effectively later in the evening. The
resident was contacted and apologized to with explanation on the delay of which he
appreciated the Authority, for prompt response when called upon on Thursday 16th May,
2019.
2) The complaint on Oyemekun st was invalid at the time of investigation according to the
resident met, he confirmed Messrs Mid Royal was at the premises 2 days ago to cart waste
and had been consistent.

OLORUNDA LCDA OLORUNDA WARD
MILADEX NIGERIA LTD The CLI WSD Team carried out an inspection along with the PSP manager on the following areas:
Ekolawa, Bale Yewehnu,Ita Hassan, Oladiran, TalabiOnilegbale, Caroline, Awkuzu, Bayo, Hassan, Akin Philip, Imazobi, Ajagamibo, and Orekomi streets.
Markets also visited by the team includes;
Mosafejo Community Market, Ifesowapo, Araromi Ale, Ayetoro and Oshoku Markets respectively.
The operator has a total of three [3] trucks but two [2] were effective at the time of this visit.
According to the shop owners at mosafejo b/stop, operator is irregular.
Residents of Orekomi street said that operator always pass by without stopping for them to drop their wastes.
Residents of Mosafejo road, said that they have not seen the operator for the past three [3] weeks.
Residents said Operator only distributed waste nylons and payment bills to the residents without fully in operation.
Mammoth waste at Iworo Ajido road, opposite Anglican Nur/Pry School within Mosafejo area was observed by the team to be a dumping site for residents around.
At Mosafejo community market, the market developer Mrs Oki, when interviewed about the waste management,
said that she personally engaged one operator which she could not disclosed the name to the team. But the operator later left, according to her the PSP left due to debt related issues.
Stationary advocacy was held at residents and markets visited during the evaluation and monitoring exercise.
The operator was advised
to improve on its services.

The team introduced Miladex operator to the market developer (Mrs Oki) and urged them to patronize the PSP and ensure prompt payment for waste collection.
The debt related issue between Iyaloja and Babaloja of Oshuku Market Checking point and the PSP operator was resolved by the CLI WSD Team with both parties agreed to commence good waste management practices.
Advocacy/mediation was held.
CLI notebooks and waste bag were distributed.
The Operator is on ground but ineffective.
PSP promise to improve on services rendered to the community.
The team was
made to understand that Ayetoro Market within Mosafejo is serviced by Amuleya PSP.
Miladex was instructed to effectively cart waste from residents and markets with no PSP to eradicate waste deposited on the Badagry Expressway median and the hghway sides.
Lasbinjo PSP mgr called upon to cart the Furniture and Plastic wastes seen by the fence of house 12 Joseph Odunlami street which was pending.

On related development, the secretary of Ifesowapo market Araromi Ale, Mr Elijah complained bitterly about operators’ activity which made them to engaged Amuleya PSP.
At Oshuku market, the Ayaloja that was interviewed said that the market is still managing and the waste generating are being used to fill the pit behind the market. She further stated that building, toilet facility and waste management were few of the challenges facing the market.
