DESCRIPTIONDesigned more than 100years ago, Spiral WoundGaskets (SWG’s) are widelyused as high integrity andsustainable gaskets. Thesealing element ismanufactured frompreformed, V-shaped metallicwindings with intermediatesoft sealing fillers. Most usedfiller materials are Graphiteand PTFE. Due to the gasketconstruction, SWG’s offer highcompressibility and recovery.Leader Style SRI SWG’s areprovided with an innerandouter guide ring. Thesegaskets are suitable for ASMEB16.5 raised faced flanges upto 2500 lbs and for EN/DINflanges up to PN400.
APPLICATION(Petro-) Chemical Industry,Steam, On- and Offshoreexploration, pipeline systems,pressure vessels andexchangers.
CHEMICAL COMPATIBILITYSpiral Wound Gaskets can beused in a wide variety ofmedia, i.e. a pH range varyingfrom 0-14. Application/compatibility guide is availableon request. Temperature from–450 °F up to 850 °F (steamup to 1200 °F)
DELIVERY OPTIONSStandard style S gaskets arenormally manufacturedaccording to particularcustomer drawings, or by
given sizes. Gaskets can bemanufactured in a thickness of.125" / .175" / .250" / 285".Different materials areavailable.
