on business opportunities and development for women.
President’s Message
Happy 2017 TCWN Ladies! I hope everyone enjoyed our Holiday Event at the Standard Pour. I’m so excited that we collected 150 bras. Great job, everyone. Supporting an organization that helps women is one of the things we should be about!
The theme for our group this year is going to be Back to Basics, teaching the basics of building and expanding your business. I have a lot of vision for our group this year. I hope you will join me in achieving that vision. There are some things I would like for you to do. One is to bring guests to the meeting. We will be implementing some new ideas to make guests feel more welcome at our meet-ings, and I am hoping it will encourage all of you to bring more guests. I want to change our process of guest introduction a little bit to let them know we really want them in our group. I have some plans for other special things for guests and members who bring guests that I will be bringing up at the retreat so stayed tuned to the newsletter for more information. Another thing I would love for each of you to do is to be present at the meetings and network with the women in our group. Not just at the monthly meetings, but to do business with each other. Maybe even call another member and go to coffee or lunch. Having some one on one time with other members helps you figure out how to do business together.
I am open to any suggestions you may have to make our group grow and to encourage new membership, as well as supporting our great group of current members. The more ladies we have in our group, the more successful we will all be. New ideas, new business relationships, new friends, equals success for all of us. I am also open to any suggestions you have for programs you may want our group to participate in this year. If you know of a great speaker or panel of speakers or even just a topic or idea, please let me know.
I hope everyone picked up a goal sheet at the December meeting. If not, please go to the website and download one. We will be working through that goal packet at the January meeting. If you have questions, please let me know and I will do my best to find the answers for you.
Let’s make 2017 a positive, energetic year for TCWN as well as for each member and guest.

NETWORKING WORKS
Give thanks to another member of the network for services or products they have provided to you.
Laura Kuffler, Advantage LDS, has been our family photographer for
several years now. It’s always a trick to find a time when our family is all
here together. I knew we would all be here on Christmas Eve so I took a
chance and asked her if she was available to take photos Christmas Eve
afternoon. She said she could because her family wasn’t celebrating until
Christmas Day.
She came and did her usual creative picture taking and even stayed
longer to take pics of a raucous game we were playing for spontaneous
memories. Thank You, Laura!
Jan Moberg, Therapy Dog Business
Thank you to Jan Watson, Jazz it Up Iron On Sparklers, for my new Christmas Tree shirt. It’s beautiful. She is always so helpful (and she was not feeling well) but we always have a great time at the Bling Bling Barn. Thank you Tammy Hammond, Academy Mortgage, for getting my nephew’s loan completed. He now lives in Oakdale and it sounds like everything went great. Remember Tammy can do loans in other ar-eas. Thanks again. Thank you to the Deco Soap Company, Teri and Arnie Brockmire, for the Bath Bombs, body butter and soaps that I gave as Christmas gifts. They all smell yummy.

Becky Selbee, 3 B’s Event Planning
I would like to Thank Laura Jennings, Century 21 Wildwood Properties, for personally handling my new home purchase! She was efficient and on the ball the entire time. She went above and beyond during the process and I want to Thank her from the bottom of my heart for her hard work when “I” as a loan officer was on the other side!!!!
Tammy Hammond, Academy Mortgage
Hello, I'm Laura Kuffler and my business is Advantage LDA, Legal Document As-sistance and Mobile Notary Public. I have been in the legal field for a total of 15 years including working for an attorney, going to school for paralegal training, and working for the Tuolumne County Court until a year ago. I also just recently com-pleted my training to be a notary public and become a certified loan signing agent. I can help my clients with preparing documents to open, ask for new or change ex-isting orders or I can assist in completing a case with a judgment if all issues are resolved. I do family law, small claims, and estate planning to include deeds. I can also notarize the documents I help you with. Besides my business I love photography (especially nature), travel, kayaking, read-ing and anything having to do with technology. I have been here since 1992 and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I can be in Yosemite, Lake Tahoe or the Bay Area within a few hours but I get to come home, and now I get to work out of my home. It really doesn't get any better than that. I enjoy getting together with the ladies involved in TCWN. I love to hear about the successes and how they are doing in their businesses. It's just nice to know there are others like me. Laura Kuffler, Advantage Legal Document Assistance
