Cory Doctorow:
“Damn right libraries shouldn’t be book-lined Internet cafes. They should be book-lined, computer-filled information-dojos where communities come together to teach each other black-belt information literacy, where initiates work alongside noviates to show them how to master the tools of the networked age from the bare metal up.”

“If you’re not able to code, you’re missing out on a lot of advantages.”
Learning The natural, unstoppable process of acquiring knowledge. It only partly takes place at school, because we do it everywhere, anytime by reading, writing, talking, tinkering and playing with the world around us. We solve problems, ask questions and occasionally mess things up.
Freedom The right of access, remix, copy and share and build on the existing to generate new ideas. The Internet does not function without the ability to look under the hood and learn from the errors.
The Web A set of building blocks that anyone can use to invent, build, connect and adapt to the digital world. Just like Lego these are blocks that can be formed in order to be able to meet a person's image. This system has helped us to create wealth, beauty and social connections on a scale that was unimaginable 25 years ago.
