THIRTY-FIRST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME “They do not practise what they preach”

READ MATTHEW 23:1-12 MEDITATE People said that Jesus taught with authority and not like their scribes. The authority of Jesus comes from a unity between what He said and what He did. The strength of His argument was the humility with which He behaved. Have we got those qualities?

LET US PRAY Lord Jesus, You are the only teacher; guide me in ways of sincerity, truth

and freedom so I may abide by every word, thought and intention I have. Amen

ACT “They do not life a finger to help those overburdened.” Consider people around you and see if anyone is overburdened by something. Perhaps you might be able to give them a hand!
