There are ALWAYS at least 3 parts:

But how do I make a past participle?
Regular verbs follow a pattern
Take the infinitive spielenChop off the ‘en’ spielenAdd a ‘ge’ at the beginning gespielAdd a ‘t’ at the end

Do all past participles work like this?
In a word – NO!There are some irregular past participles –
mostof these end in –en.
You will have to learn these verbs as they don’tfollow the pattern of regular past participles.

But when do we use ‘haben’ for the burger and when do we use ‘sein’?
HabenAlmost all verbs use “haben”!
SeinA few verbs use “sein”, these are usually verbs of
movement. Their past participles are also irregular!
