When Ks is equal to 1.25,the transmit power can be adjusted by means of selecting differentMCSs during scheduling. This helps the UE to quickly adapt to changesin channel conditions and increases the cell throughput.

NEeNodeB
MML CommandLST PDCPROHCPARAMOD PDCPROHCPARA
MeaningIndicates the highest mode of ROHC operation. In Unidirectional Mode (U-mode), packets are sent in one direction only (that is, from the compressor to the decompressor), and a feedback channel from the decompressor to the compressor is undesirable. Therefore, the U-mode provides the lowest reliability but also the lowest feedback overhead, compared with the other two modes. In Bi-directional Optimistic Mode (O-mode), the decompressor sends the compressor the feedback, which indicates errors or context synchronization successes. Therefore, the O-mode provides higher reliability than the U-mode but causes a lower amount of feedback information than the R-mode. In Bi-Directional Reliable Mode (R-mode), the reliability of context synchronization between the compressor and the decompressor is higher than that in any other mode; however, because of frequent feedback, the R-mode causes the greatest link overhead.

Impact on Radio Network Performance1) Coverage: If the value of ReferenceSignalPwr is too large, cross-coverage occurs. This causes interference to other cells. If the value of ReferenceSignalPwr is too small, coverage holes appear.2) Interference: The setting of ReferenceSignalPwr varies depending on the interference from neighboring cells. A large interference margin is required where the interference is strong.3) Channel estimation: A larger value of ReferenceSignalPwr leads to higher channel estimation accuracy, a lower demodulation threshold, and higher receiver sensitivity, but it causes stronger interference to neighboring cells.4) Capacity: A larger value of ReferenceSignalPwr brings better coverage, but a large value limits the power used for data transmission and hence decreases the system capacity.Set ReferenceSignalPwr appropriately to ensure a reasonable tradeoff between coverage and capacity, effective channel estimation, and appropriate interference control.
