Luke 9:23-24
He was saying to them all, “If anyone desires to come
after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross
daily and follow Me.
Luke 9:23-24
24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but
whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will
save it.
To follow Jesus I must:
deny myself.
Mark 12:28-30
One of the teachers of religion who was standing
there listening to the discussion realized that Jesus
had answered well.
Mark 12:28-30
So he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the
most important?”
Jesus replied, “The one that says,
Mark 12:28-30
“The one that says, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is
One. And you must love Him with all your heart and soul
and mind and strength.’”
To deny myself means:
- I must love Jesus more than I love
myself.
To deny myself means:
- I must love Jesus more than I love
myself … or anything else.
To deny myself means:
- Don’t depend on yourself.
- Depend on Him
To deny myself means:
- refuse and reject
To follow Jesus you must:
die to yourself.
To follow Jesus you must:
die to yourself.
To follow Jesus I must:
do it daily.
Why should I do this?
Why should I do this?
Because the only way to save your life is to lose it.
