A big thank you to the Goderich Horticultural Society and an
anonymous donation for the new bench that has been
installed at the side door! It’s a great place to rest and check
out our book selection. Thank you to everyone who took part
in our reopening survey. I am exited to report that over 9800
members of Seniors Active Living Centres in Ontario
responded to the questionnaire. I have copies of the
Provincial results and am happy to share with you if you
would like to read them.
We still do not have a reopening date, however we are
working hard to make sure that all precautions are in place by
the time we get the go ahead. Please note that there will be
many changes to programs as we move forward. Your
patience is appreciated. Hopefully I will have some news
soon. I will be away the week of August 31 and will return to
the office on Wednesday Sept 9th . Stay Healthy, Stephanie

Senior Centre without Walls
The Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility is encouraging us to offer some of our pro-
grams either online or virtually. This is likely to continue while we are waiting for
the “ go ahead” to reopen. We have been able to set up a weekly conference tele-
phone call to connect with members. No computers necessary! Please consider
joining us for our Friday Calls. We chat about all sorts of interesting things. I have
a few guest speakers for this month and the first Friday of the month is Trivia.
These calls are lots of fun and great opportunity to hear about something new. If
you haven't had a chance to join one of the calls yet, please call in. I can also
phone you to add to the call if you prefer.
The More the Merrier! If you have any questions about how to take part or if you
have a suggestion about a topic or theme, please give me a call.

A message from the President of the Board of Directors,
Vicky Culbert
The Chair of the Board would like to recognize all of the Board of
Directors members and Stephanie who have, during challenging
times continued to meet and support the Centre.
They have been essential in promoting the spirit and sense of
community that has been integral to the heart of MacKay Center.
Thank you for all that you do. Sincerely, Vicky
