GFM Corporation is a highly-qualified manufacturer serving a diverse set of industrial product applications within automotive, office furniture and other industries.
Our mission is to be a low-cost solutions provider that strives for partnership and cooperation with our customer base and other stakeholders, to result in mutually beneficial success and prosperity. This in turns helps fuel growth and innovation for our collective futures.
Our core competency includes precision metal stamping techniques with other managed services including heat-treatment, finishing, molding, welding and light subassembly. When delivered with value – value that allows for a cost advantage to our customer while achieving or exceeding a level of product parity with our competition, our customer succeeds in the marketplace. That is the definition of success at GFM.
Executive Overview
www.gfmcorp.com
GFM was founded after a market-driven reality suggested industries would benefit with increased competitiveness within the fineblank stamping segment. GFM follows the design parameters and product requirements traditionally specified for “fineblanking” yielding a smooth-edge surface with a very repeat-able, engineering-accepted alternative commonly known today as “Gripflow.”
Our staff has significant years of experience in many diverse areas which complements our core business. These areas include progressive stamping,
fineblanking, tool building and seating mechanisms. This knowledge is transferred to support your unique product requirements, eliminate unnecessary costs and ensure a successful program.

Gripflow Process
Compared with its rivals, Gripflow produces parts with the characteristics of fineblanking at a lower cost. Gripflow leverages the merits of conventional stamping and fineblanking processes to derive an economical alternative yet high-quality product.
The process uses a conventional, single-action hydraulic press with CNC controls which allows the production speed to be controllable in the cutting process.
A stamping is squeezed from the parent material accomplished by minimal clearance between punch and die components. The material retention during stamping ensures high-repeatability from part to part and dimensional accuracy to specifications.
Production rates are dependent upon part size, material type and thickness.

Features:
Smooth-edge surfaces up to 100% shearMinimal hole and position tolerance requirements at 0.025mm (0.001”)Superior flatness at 0.025mm (.001”) per linear inchHoles can be pierced close to part edges: Web of 50% of material thicknessNet part shape from a single-station or progressive die
Costs:
Gripflow tooling is less than fineblanking dies due to the elimination of the V-ring.Gripflow unit prices are typically less than fineblanking as a result of greater material utilization and tonnage efficiency.Gripflow tooling is significantly less that conventional stamping with progressive stations. These savings are a result of multiple operations performed in a single-station die.Gripflow unit-prices can compete with conventional stamping if secondary oprations are avoided.
