Hofstra University Student Government Association PROGRAMMING BOARD APPLICATION 2012-2013
The Programming Board will work closely with different University departments to
execute a series of campus-wide events throughout the academic year. This board, which
will be comprised of students of all classes, run by an elected member of the Student
Government Association (SGA), and advised by the Office of Student Leadership and
Activities. This body will be open to senators, delegates, and all other undergraduates.
This Board will meet weekly to maximize the planning of each event.

Athletic Coordinators shall create events centered on athletics.
Class Coordinators shall encourage unity among classes through various
activities.
Novelty Event Coordinators shall create novelty styled campus wide events.
Multicultural Coordinators shall create events pertaining to diversity, education,
and celebration of culture.
Promotions Coordinators shall assist in marketing and advertising events to the
student body.
Speaker Coordinators shall host arrays of speakers and/or performers on Hofstra’s
campus.
Treasurer shall maintain the financial information for the Programming board.

March 22th
2012:
IRCB – Special thanks to Kalyn and Stephanie. They gave me a great report about other
institution’s sports funding policies. Logistically it is too late to implement them for the
2012-2013 year, however I can see some of the ideas being used for the 2013-2014
school year.

Academic Affairs Committee Monday March 19, 2012
Present: Brittany, Caitlin, Yeri, Bradley, Alex, Adriana, Melanie, Alyssa, and Ron Commenced at 6pm Agenda: Mobility Accessibility Forum – opened the floor to discussion with the SSD department; however, not many showed up to voice concerns. Cooking Class options – making progress. Discussed the idea with Dean Firestone, but we need to research other schools and see where that will take us. Midterm Complaints – Thank you Brittany for creating the posters! We will be advertising and asking for feedback soon. (Most likely during the next Press Release!)
