Margot started Hairdressing straight out of school with Paul Whittaker Salon in Chatswood.
After 2.5 years in the salon (she was a little naughty and didn’t finish her apprenticeship) she loved the social aspect of her job but hated hair all over her so she went on to become a sales rep in the industry before landing on her feet here at Norris. Margot is also an awesome Mum to five gorgeous children and her ability to relate to people from all walks of life is admirable.When not at work Margot likes to work in her garden and visit the elderly. A little obsessed with cutting Kyleen carries 10 pair of scissors with her at all times! Being an apprentice or a fully qualified stylist it’s important to have fundamentals and even more important to have your own personalised signature on your work.
This day course will provide you with advanced skills to master the art of using a razor. You will be shown how to identify the ideal hair texture and apply creative sectioning patterns to form choppy and solid baselines. Explore and deliver seamless long layering and soft/ defined graduation with alternative cutting techniques.

1. Colour wefts and blowdry/set/iron with desired product, place into desired bundles. Place fine netting over bundles for control, leave ends out (flower feature).
2. PREPARATION THE MOST IMPORTANT Start with clean dry hair. Apply smoothing product in 1” sections from roots to cluster points. Directional blowdry. Apply texture spray to mid lengths and ends and blowdry smooth in 1” sections.
3. Separate hair into 2 cluster points. Bundle together using 2-3 sections for each ponytail cluster. Tie off the ponytails off centre on the top of the head. Place fine net over each ponytail for control.
4. Secure the 2 wefts to the 2 cluster points (feature flower in position) Shape the 4 bundles of hair as desired and secret pin to head. Higher shapes sewn in with a fine nylon thread.
