Online Adoration ChapelsSometimes in our busy schedules or circumstances in life

we are unable to get to the chapel to make our visit to theBlessed Sacrament. Spiritual communion is lifting up our mindsand hearts to God with the same intention of receiving Jesusinto our minds and hearts as if we were present to Jesus in theTabernacle. The Church, in the Official Enchiridion of

Indulgences even has special prayer for this spiritual act andhas attached a special indulgence to it. All we need do is useour own words in expressing to Jesus how we would love to beunited with him in the Blessed Sacrament and to receive thegraces as if we were actually receiving him. St. Thomas Aquinasexpresses this as a real desire to be united with Jesus.

Below are three online chapels you can visit at anytime during the day or night to make a spiritual visit to Jesus, who will always welcome you.

    I. Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, Ga.

II. St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish in Louisville, KentuckyIII. Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters in Philadelphia, Pa.

IV. Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Libertyville,Illinois.

Does the one who shaped the ear not hear? The one whoformed the eye not see? (Ps. 94:9)

    Our Eucharistic Good Shepherd

What a great blessing it is to be able to come, in faith, into the presence of Our Eucharistic Lord so often. We come toadore him, but also to remain close to him, who is sent by theFather to be with us. It is his love for us. He is here and hedesires for us to be here.

We find ourselves at rest and at Peace in the humilitythat this King, who dies that we might have life. He desired toeat the Paschal meal so that we could have his Paschal Life.

Do this in memory of me. That is all he asks of us is tobe willing to be obedient and humble. The Lord looks on thelowly, the haughty he knows from afar.

Come Holy Spirit, quieten my mind and heart, so that Ican listen to your voice speaking within me.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be my GoodShepherd!

    Scripture Suggestions:Jer. 17:9, Heb. 3:12, Mk. 7:21

    Silence All Mankind

When we speak of the Sacred Heart of Jesus whatare we referring to? We are speaking of the physical heart of thehumanity of the Son of God and united with the divinity of theWord; we are referring to the heart of Jesus Christ, the Wordmade flesh. Jesus is the heart of God. Jesus is the Word of God.

When we come to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament we arecoming to the Heart of God.We pray to be silent during this time before the

Lord so that he can speak and we can listen. This is not easy, since our lower self is often fighting against our higher desiresto be with the Lord. We can quieten these unruly desires by theliving Spirit of God. We do this by making acts of faith, hope

    and love.1

By making these essential acts we direct all ofour strength to the Lord who is present to us. By makingthese acts we come to know his tender love and care for our

souls. These acts are the very life of our soul, especiallywhen they are united with an active love.

We can be sure we are speaking to Jesus and notto ourselves when the fruit of our prayer brings him thanksand praise.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be the silenceof my mind and heart!

    Scripture Suggestions: 1Sam 3:10, Ps. 10:17, Ps. 71:2

1 Faith, hope, and love, are the essential acts of oursoul. They have their only object God himself. THese acts arethe eternal aspirations of our soul. We must guard them asprecious, since they are the eternal gifts of God to our souls

and they always lead us directly to him.

    Word of Eternal Life

Our presence here before Jesus is ouracknowledgement of our love for him and our belief that heis the Word of eternal life sent by the Father. He has nobeginning. He has no end. Jesus truly dwells with us. Whatdoes it mean to be eternal? It means that our acts do not

terminate nor come into being. As humans we have grown up in time. Everything weexperience as human beings are the things around us. Ourparents, family, friends; the places weve been, the jobsweve accomplished; these all have the characteristic oflimitation by before and after.

With God it is different. He simply IS,2 in thetruest sense. Jesus came that we could accept this gift ofhis grace so that we could live his eternal life. We offereternal thanksgiving to God for this gift.

Prayer Prompt: Heart of Jesus, be our eternal love!Scripture Suggestions: Ps. 90:4, 2 Pe 3:8,Jn. 1:1-2

2 God IS as the source of all LIFE,and EXISTENCE. WhenMoses asked God whom he should say sent him to Pharaoh,

God gave Moses his Name, I AM WHO AM (Ex. 3:14)

    Joy in the Lord

Joy is the result of obtaining something we love. Our joy reflect the treasure of our heart. Jesus promisedthose who were pure in heart that they shall see God. Thecloser we monitor our heart for the joys we keep, the betterwe can tell how close we are reflecting only God in the center

where he belongs. When we keep Jesus present with us, wecan be sure that he will keep us close to the Spirit and theFather. There are several kinds of joy, but essentially we havejoys that belong to the Kingdom of Heaven, and other joyswhich can easily lead us astray from the Kingdom. Jesusteaches us how to use both of them to make everythingwork together for the good of those who love God. If wewant to see God one day, Jesus Spirit will teach us how toget there safely without having to follow dangerous paths toget there.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be my joy!

Scripture Suggestions: Ps. 4:8, Ps. 34:6, Ps. 47:2

    Only In God

What do I think of when I desire to live only inGod? Isnt everything in God? Yes, but everything is in God,but not everything wants to be in God. When we come beforethe Eucharistic Lord, here in the Blessed Sacrament, ourhearts cry out to him. It is like we are saying, my soul rests

in God alone, from whom comes my salvation. (Ps. 62:2)Jesus hears our heart speak louder than our words. If he isnot in our heart, our words will have little meaning. That iswhy Jesus told the Pharisees that their hearts were far fromhim. We do not have to live this way, since Jesus wants tobe our eternal friend. He is our friend, not because we havedone something to deserve it, but because he has doneeverything to bring it about.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be my salvation!

Scripture Suggestions: Ps. 62:2, Rom. 12:1, Col. 3:17

All Things Are Possible in God

What could have been more wonderful for us tohave obtained in our life than to have met God. Yet, here weare before him. It is a humbling experience to be with God. Tobe with Jesus is something of the impossibility of all

possibility. It was only his free gift that he created us.3 Not

only has he brought us into being out of his infinite love, buthe did this for only one purpose, so that we could share thatlife of eternal love with the Father, Son and Spirit. Not only onearth, but also in Heaven.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, my God and myAll!

    Scripture Suggestions: Gen. 18:14, Matt. 19:26, Lk.1:37

Peace to This HouseCatholic Eucharistic Adoration online:TransfigurationParish, Marietta, Ga.

As you enter a house, wish it peace. 13 If the house isworthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peacereturn to you. (Matt. 10:12 NAB)

Reflection I Jesus promise peace to those who followhim and do his will. Peace and humble of heart is a grace

from the Holy Spirit.4 There may be times when we arefrustrated by the circumstances we find in our lives. This cancome about thru those who reject the message of Peace thatJesus gives.

Reflection II The Peace that comes from Jesus is bothour gift to others and Jesus gift to others thru us. Hechooses to use the weak things of this world to do his will.

Reflection III If the house we enter is worthy of Peacewe must share that with the house we enter. Have you everbeen in a place where you were physically and you were atPeace, but other were not at Peace with you? He asked hisdisciples once thru these words: Do you also want toleave? (Jn. 6:67 NAB)

Reflection IV Peace I leave with you. My Peace I giveto you. (Jn. 14:27 NAB) Christ Peace can only come from

    Christ5 and his Holy Spirit.

4 Jesus came to bring Peace to all. The Eucharist is THE

tangible evidence of Gods Peace. 5 This is the T in Tradition, which was handed down by the Apostles.

    Pray For Peace

Reflection I Jesus asked that we keep salt in ourselves,so that we could keep peace among us. (Mk. 9:50 NAB) Whatdoes this mean to keep salt in ourselves. We know that salthas the property of seasoning food. It is known to every

culture.6 St. Augustine refers to the Martyrs examples as the

salt that the Church contains within herself. With the exampleof the Martyrs the Church witnesses to an other-worldly

example7.Reflection I Nothing is perfect in this world. If it were,

we would still desire God just as much, since his perfectionis greater than this worlds perfections. A heart that is filledwith the love of God cannot settle in this world. Our heartwants to find its full resolutions to all its longings in thatrest that only God promised to give to us, remain in me.(Jn. 15:4 NAB)

Reflection III In order to give Christ Peace we first have

to have Christ Peace. He promised that those who believe inhim, rivers of living water would flow from him. (Jn. 7:38NAB) So we have his promise and his Spirit to lead us to Him.

Reflection IV We can have his Peace when we one withHim. We can be one with Him if we are living the truth inlove. (Eph.4:15 NAB) As we live the truth, by his grace we becomeone with Him. As we believe in his presence here in theBlessed Sacrament, we are transformed into his Truth.

6 Augustine, Exposition on the Psalms, 51-

    72. 7 ibid.

Jesus LivesReflection I God lives in every person, since we are

made in the image and likeness of God, we have a specialrole to play in Gods Creation. Grow and Multiply, he toldcreation in the beginning. That growth came quickly atPentecost, when God chose to give us the Spirit of Truth.Praising God for this Spirit should be our work here before

Him. The Spirit calls us to the Word of the Father.Reflection II We can experience Jesus life in us when

we give sincere thanks to the Father for sending us his Son.The Spirit of Jesus is always grateful. He will not lead us onthe wrong path, Whoever follows me will not walk indarkness, but will have the light of life. (Jn. 8:12 NAB)

Reflection III The Psalmist relies on God for his Peace, since he knows that God will be his strength at all times: Inpeace I shall both lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me secure. (Ps.4:9 NAB) How do we experience this care that God gives to

us? It is in everything, yet thru the Peace that Christ gives itis most evident, since it is the Peace that comes from theFather to us, then goes out to the world.

Reflection IV For in him we live and move, and haveour being. St. Paul tells us. (Acts 17:28 NAB) If we were notin Him we would not be, we would not live, we would notmove. All these things move us, but nothing moves Him.

    Seek Peace and Pursue It

Reflection I The Psalmist tells us to seek peace andpursue it. (Ps. 34:15 NAB) Allowing Jesus to show us hisPeace, gives us an opportunity to love Him and to honor theFather. When we are before Jesus in the Eucharist, somethingputs us in peace in the depths of our hearts. His Spirit

consoles those who search for his will in their lives.Reflection II In the humility of Jesus we are called tofollow him to the Father. His life was Peace and his death forus brought us eternal Peace that the world cannot give. TheLord proclaims peace to his people.

Reflection III Pursue Peace, live in Peace, and you willbecome like the Peace you pursue and live. He calls us hereto be with him, but he is not alone, for the Father is alwayswith him. We are not alone for he is with us until the end oftime.

Reflection IV Jesus, thank you for bringing us into your

family thru baptism, for strengthening us with your Spirit andcalling us to walk strengthened by your humanity, thru yourEucharist.

The Lord Proclaims Peace (Ps. 85:9 NAB)

Reflection I When we come into Jesus presence Hewelcomes us in the Fathers name. It is to us that He wassent so that we could return to the Father. No one knowswho the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom theSon wishes to reveal him. (Lk. 10:22)

Reflection II What is the Peace that Christ proclaims? Itis the Peace that we are His eternal children. We are theadopted children of God. Here we are in His presence. He hascome to meet us to lead us to our eternal home.

Reflection III He proclaimed Peace to his enemies, butthey rejected His message. Grace strengthens us tosurrender to his Kingdom and His Spirit.

Reflection IV Jesus, without you we can do nothing. While you are with us, show us the way to the Father.

Justice and Peace Shall Kiss (Ps. 85:11 NAB)

Reflection I He is Our Justice. He is Our Peace. In JusticeHe assumed our nature. The Word became flesh is OurPeace. Justice and Peace shall Kiss. Jesus is Our Emmanuel.

Reflection II When the Word became flesh he brought

his Kingdom to Earth, so that we could join his Kingdom inHeaven. He is Our Heaven on Earth.

Reflection III Jesus will kiss those faithful discipleswho humble themselves to receive the Fathers gift ofPentecost.

Reflection IV Peace I leave with you; my peace Igive to you. (Jn. 14:27 NAB) Christ Peace is a spiritualPeace and He gives it thru His Spirit. Alleluia!

My Yoke Is Easy(Matt. 11:29 NAB)

Reflection I Jesus referred to the burden of being adisciple as a yoke, which is similar to the yoked Ox whenthey are treading the fields. Jesus says that his yoke iseasy; that is, not difficult to bear. Jesus fits his yoke to each

of us so that we will not lose heart.Reflection II To show the kindness of Jesus in fitting his

yoke to us we recall the tenderness of God: Can a motherforget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of herwomb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you. (Isa.49:15 NAB)

Reflection III Jesus is present to us now in the sameway he will be present to us in eternity. The Word of Goddoesnt change, nor will his tender care for each of hisadopted children change.

Reflection IV Jesus, present here in your Eucharistic

presence, lead me to the Father and guide me with yourSpirit of Love.

Into Your Hands I Commend My Spirit

The more we follow Jesus the more he will ask us toabandon ourselves to his plans for us. He gives to us the gracewe need to follow him every day. In all of the circumstances ofour lives he is with us until the end of time. (Matt. 28:20) Howdo we learn this self-surrender except thru abandoningourselves into the unknown? We should not fear the unknown. We should not fear the incomprehensible. He is Love. We havebeen given the faith to follow Jesus along this road, just assurely as we get on any highway during the day or we hear thecars passing by on the road near us. In the saw way, the pathJesus marks out for each of us can only be crossed thru faith. The world cannot see this way. We know this because we have

all been called from sin into Gods light. (1 Pt. 2:9) It is aninterior journey that come to us thru the working of the Holy

Spirit.9 Just as there are many types of roads, so there aremany gifts but the same Spirit working in all. (1 Cor. 12:11)

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give myself toyou!

    Scripture Suggestions: Lk. 23:46, Ps. 33:4, 1 Cor. 12:11

9 The Holy Spirit keeps all of Gods works done thruthe members in eternal unity.
