As pharmacist and owner of Bay Street Pharmacy, Theresa Tolle has made the pharmacy's mission one of improving the quality of life - one patient at a time - while fulfilling the motto: “Caring people care for you." Theresa and her Bay Street staff go above and beyond to assist their loyal custom-ers by contacting insurance companies, seeking discount cou-pons and samples, and “whatever else it takes” to ensure the best health care possible for area residents.
Theresa plays an active role in several professional pharmacy associations and has held various positions at the local, state and national levels. Likewise, she has received numerous awards throughout her career, including “Pharmacist of the Year” in 2005 from the Florida Pharmacy Association. Conse-quently, Theresa’s achievements have even garnered nation-al recognition. Earlier this year, Theresa was bestowed the “Pharmacy Management Excellence Award” by the American Pharmacists Association at their annual meeting in San Fran-cisco.
Despite her many professional commitments and honors, however, Theresa makes time to give back to the community through various endeavors. In addition to being a member of the American Cancer Society Leadership Board for the Treas-ure Coast, Theresa has dedicated the last 10 years to being a team member of one of her favorite causes, Relay for Life. In 2007, she was named the American Cancer Society-North County’s “Volunteer of the Year”.
Theresa Tolle
Pharmacist/Owner
Direct: 772.589.2043
Theresa currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Sebastian River Medical Center and is a frequent speaker for the center’s community support and civic groups. There-sa is also a former Chair of the Sebastian River Area Cham-ber of Commerce and continues to support as many cham-ber events and functions as she can.
Both native to Florida with roots that span four generations, Theresa and her husband, Joe, have long-called Florida "home." The couple have attended the same church for nearly 30 years, where they teach Sunday school and There-sa serves on the Board of Trustees. In their spare time, The-resa and Joe enjoy spending time with their three children and attending Florida Gator football games.
Bay Street Pharmacy, established in 1984, was originally operated by Joe’s father and partner, Frank Sherako. There-sa assumed the pharmacy’s operations in 2005 when Frank and Joe retired and has successfully run the business ever since.
Whether in her capacity as business owner, pharmacist, or a member of the community, Theresa continually strives to make improvements for others - including the residents of Sebastian, who, in 2010, voted her Sebastian's "Woman of the Year.”

July 2017
Beth L. Mitchell, President & CEO
The Fourth of July holiday was created over two hundred and forty years ago. And over one hundred and ninety years
ago, on the Fourth of July, two of the most radical revolutionaries that our country has ever seen, Thomas Jefferson
and Ben Franklin, sworn political enemies, and yet fast friends, died within five hours of each other. The arguments
and difference in philosophies of these two men mirror the political discussions that have engulfed our country in the
present. The celebration on the Fourth recognizes our freedoms and the promise of liberty to all Americans, and the
ability to agree to disagree. The relationship between those two revolutionaries and the civility that existed between
them in the end should also be celebrated!
We are eagerly anticipating the Sebastian Lion’s Club annual extravaganza for the Fourth! This group of volunteers
has provided the City of Sebastian with the most down home celebration for many, many years. We are lucky to have
this organization providing this great service to our community and our country, so thank you Lion’s Club for every-
thing you do! And make sure you wave to the Grand Marshall, she’s one of us!
Traditionally summertime is for vacations, and a slower pace in Sebastian, but for business people it is also a great
time to sharpen your skills, and learn how to increase your bottom line. The Chamber brings educational opportuni-
ties to the business community during the summer months and this year is no different. There is a plethora of SCORE
workshops planned, the schedule is further in this newsletter. Additionally, for our tourism partners, a FAM Tour is
scheduled in July so that the partners can learn of other tourism businesses in the area. Our Chamber luncheon in July
is dedicated to the subject of the American Disabilities Act and we will educate you on the concerns and threats to
businesses with the most recent scams that are impacting our area. We have more in the works!
Not everybody leaves the Sebastian River Area in August! We look forward to seeing everybody at the Annual Grill Out
Night, scheduled for August 11. After a couple of years off, due to the tyranny of government, Grill Out Night is back!
Thanks to some very smart legislators, the rules were changed to allow businesses to show some customer apprecia-
tion, and we can get the grills out again and serve tidbits and pineapple to our residents and visitors. If you are not
grilling, hopefully you will be chilling, with our businesses!
Our Visitor Guides, 2017 have just arrived from the printer and its already available on our website,
www.SebastianChamber.com. This award winning publication is eagerly anticipated. We print 25,000 copies to dis-
tribute to anybody that is looking for visitor information and the Guide is our go to publication for the 15,000 visitors
to the Pelican Porch Visitor Center. We appreciate the support from our advertisers, we couldn’t make this piece hap-
pen without them!
Have a great Fourth of July, we are hanging the bunting today!
