In 2006 Australia introduced mandatory labelling and water performance standards on a range of household water-using products, including tapware. The Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) Scheme uses a 6-star rating scale designed to help you make informed choices about the water-using products you select. The more stars the more water efficient a product is. All Dorf basin sets and mixers are 5 star. Dorf sink sets and mixers are 4 star rated and Dorf showers are 3 star (except for two rain showers which are 2 star). Bath and washing machine sets are not included in the scheme, therefore not WELS rated.
