Key elements of happenings are planned, but artists some-times retain room for improvisation. This new media art as-pect to happenings eliminates the boundary between the artwork and its viewer.

The Victory Day
Victory Day or 9 May marks the capitulation of Nazi Ger-many to the Soviet Union in the part of the Second World War known in the So-viet Union as the Great Pa-triotic War where the Soviet Union fought against Nazi Germany.
It was first inaugurated in the sixteen republics of the Soviet Union, following the signing of the surrender doc-ument late in the evening on 8 May 1945 (after midnight, thus on 9 May, by Moscow Time). The Soviet govern-ment announced the victo-ry early on 9 May after the signing ceremony in Berlin. Though the official inaugu-ration happened in 1945 (which means it has been celebrated since 1946), the holiday became a non-la-bour day only in 1965 and only in some of the coun-tries.In the former Soviet Union this festival was celebrated to commemorate the Red Army’s victory over the Nazi forces.
On this day celebrations and commemorative events are held all across Russia, with military parades taking place in the country’s major cities, the most spectacular one in Moscow’s Red Square. Victory Day in Russia is a sacred holiday for Russians who often say that there is not a single family in the country who did not lose someone in that war.
Victory ParadeThe parade is dedicated to the seventieth anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and will sur-prise you by ts scale.
Coastal missile systems “Ball” and “Bastion” will participate in the parade for the first time.
Viewers will see fourteen thousand soldiers, 194 units of military equipment and weapons. 150 aircraft and helicopters will rise in the sky – that is almost twice much than last year.

Victory Day in Gorky Park is always a special occasion. Every year the Park become a meeting point for veter-ans, fellow soldiers, all for whom the holiday is filled with special, anxious sense.
This year, we will meet the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory with songs performed by choirs from all over the country.

On Pushkinskaya Quay will be opens a photo retro-spective “The exhibition of captured weaponry”, organ-ized at the same place as in the times of the Great Patri-otic War.
During its existence the ex-hibition in Gorky Park has been updated several times. Employees of the exhibition (around 120 people, most of them war veterans) continu-ously went to the front plac-es to collect new exhibits. They did a terrible job, to-day the number of exhibits reached 7 000 exponents.
The first exhibition of cap-tured weaponry were held in Gorky Park from 1943 to 1948: there has been pre-sented different models of weapons, ammunition and equipment - from aircraft to the mobile hospital X-ray machines, from tanks to the soldiers’ shoes.
And not only from Germany, but also its allies - Hunga-ry, Romania, Italy, Finland, and since autumn 1945th - Japan. Most of the exhibits had no battle damage and are in good condition.
www.intermarkrelocation.ru Moscow Digest 17
It is difficult to overestimate the importance of this exhi-bition for the people of those times: each new exhibit - a testament to the military glory, and at the same time - a monument to those who sacrificed themselves in or-der to crack the units of the enemy.
Next to the photos on the Pushkinskaya Quay will be exposed military equipment. Tanks, guns, armoured per-sonnel carriers that comes to the park from the Muse-um of Vadim Zadorozhny technology.

Memory
Traditionally, the Gorky Park will participate in the “min-ute of silence”. Exactly at 6:55pm, after the nation-wide announcement of the minute of silence, all visitors will join hands and remem-ber the fallen and the survi-vors of that terrible war.
Last year, the Victory Day in the Park noted almost one million people; and only about 1 000 veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

House of Golitsyn (10, Krivokolenny Pereulok) - the oldest of the buildings, which are currently still used as a residence. It’s even three stone buildings with fragments build in the end of XVII - beginning of XVI-II century. Previously it was thought that the Chamber of XVII century has been pre-served only on the first floor of the main house, but a few years ago, the restorers dis-covered that the second, and even third floors were also built at the same time, in the XVII century! From the courtyard of the house is still located a very beautiful garden with a ham-mock and a coffee table.
5. The largest abandoned building
“Blue Tooth” is a building height of 22 floors and a total area of 100 thousand square meters. The building is lo-cated near the metro station “Yugo-Zapadnaya” and is well seen from the surround-ing areas.
