LISTEN AND CREATE Stratus Design VALUES Brakes How does the
Stratus move? 1 Clinical Function How does the Stratus affect my
work area? 2 Cost / Value How much will it cost to maintain the
Stratus? 3
Electromagnetic Brakes The Stratus units utilize three
electromagnetic brakes for precise and reliable positioning.
Modulars Brake only has one moving part insuring long life and
solid reliability. That moving part, the rotor, is held in place by
a permanent magnetic circuit that only requires normal power to
release, reducing energy requirements and again extending the life
of the system. Each of the three joints in the Stratus can be
independently moved or in any combination at any time for exact
positioning of the service module depending on the desired clinical
configuration. Electromagnetic Brake Features: Ultra Quiet Movement
Brake Functions on Normal Power No Drift One Moving Part with
extremely Low Energy Consumption 5.25 Inch Throat For Clinical
Services 350 Degree Range of Motion at Each Joint
Enhancing Clinical Function through Motion The Stratus was
created for all critical care environments with optimum flexibility
for positioning and accessibility of essential services. The
compact design gives the nursing staff complete access and clinical
flexibility to meet the needs of critical care patients.
Positioning the Stratus is reliable, fast and easy. The

Stratus Boom Clinical Benefits Clear access to the patient's
head; The Stratus keeps all cords, tubing and other products
organized and out of the way when conducting invasive or high risk
procedures on the patients head or neck area. Intubations Cervical
Spine immobilization Precautions and Care EEG Monitoring Other
vascular access and procedures in the patient's head or neck
regions (ECMO, RRT) Provides constant open space to move and work
behind the head of the bed Direct access to the services and
equipment on the boom Ergonomic placement of essential services for
easy access Reduces the need to bend and stretch while dealing with
electrical cords and medical gas tubing Provides operational
flexibility for room layout including moving the bed and other
equipment to the optimal position depending on the patients needs.

electrical power is applied to braking system LED lights illuminate
Stratus display in specific areas detailing which portions of the
arm are activated to move Ergonomically placed for easy use Three
separate functions in one button depending on which portion of the
button is pressed (left side, middle, right side). If the entire
button is pressed all brakes will release making the entire unit
easy to move in an emergency May be placed on any side of
column
AIM LED PROCEDURE LIGHT Efficient. Effective. Long Lasting. The
AIM LED is an efficient minor procedure light that provides focused
illumination of 45,000 lux / 4181 fc at 1 meter. A 92 CRI rating
produces very accurate color visibility, which is important for an
accurate diagnosis. With 10 times greater (20,000 hours) lamp life
than traditional light source products, you will save more than
$1000 in bulb replacements alone. Additionally, the AIM LED uses
70% less energy.
