Roses for the Madhouseand other poems.
The prayer for all solutions [Atheists could give it a shot too]
Dear supergod [here, you may use any other name. Finding a new name is quite an adventure. Long walks help. Multiple names serve well too],
I seal my faith in the infinite beauty and benevolence of the universe, and in the healing omnipotence of the superconsciousness that guides us,
and I ask you to morph every ill wish of mine towards another into a limitless wish of
peace for that being and the universe, and I ask you to change every ill wish of another towards me into an infinite wish of joy for me and the universe,
let me wish well, let the universe find excellence, and let each wish be fulfilled,
I am the one with faith,You are the one with power.
(This is only a sample. You can write your own prayers.)

What readers say
“Very good. Yes, it's a new direction, but that's how all good poets move! Let the inspiration take you where it will.
-Ananda Lal, former Head of the Department, JUDE, and theatre director and critic (on Song on a Winter Night)
“Inam's passion and honesty reach out to your soul. His poems enchant you and make you believe in magic. To describe his work, I can't think of better words than these lines “My poem fell on your skin, and you were
lost almost forever”-Harsheen Arora, psychologist, Delhi
“I think Inam is a brilliant poet. I know him for a long time. Poetry is his way of life. I'm sure he'll go a long way. In his poems, fantasy plays an integral part. Love keeps coming back, through many realms of pain.”
-Sangeeta Bandhyopadhyay, novelist, poet and media writer
“Hauntingly beautiful. Very poignant verses with lovely imagery. You have a way with words. Love, always.”
-Udita Banerjee, poet
“Inam's poetry is a treasure chest of cryptic images. Have fun solving the picture!”-Tina Ganguly, poet
“"I loved some of the images a great deal. Very lovely." -Tupa Snyder, poet (on Words To a Poet)
Ur imageries always play along with the concept of the signifier and signified so beautifully! And great use of colours here to create a sense of the sublime...also there's a hint of psychedelia in it, I guess, which works
very well. The refrain reinforces it all the more!!
− Deeptesh Sen, poet
“A haunting surrealism expressed through lyrical snatches”-Anjana Basu, poet and novelist
“Inam's poetic universe is both lyrical and dramatic. A modern mind caught in atonements of self confrontation against a backdrop of shadow and shadowlessness.”
-Sharmiila Ray, poet
“Your poetry haunts me like a madman's shadow”-Gangotri Basu, film and photography enthusiast
