44 NATIONAL CATTLEMEN DIRECTIONS 2013 44 NATIONAL CATTLEMEN DIRECTIONS 2013
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association is pleased to bring you the 26th edition of Directions. This edition of National Cattlemen includes a great deal of important industry information, including the popular listings of the top producers in each industry segment. These annual lists, along with important production statistics, are compiled by CattleFax and widely used by cattlemen and cattlewomen across the United States.
The staff at NCBA and CattleFax would like to express our gratitude to all who provided
assistance in assembling the information contained in these lists. It should be noted that some operations may have been overlooked or chose not to be included. Please contact NCBA at 866/BEEF-USA with possible updates for next year’s listings. Please note that all listings must meet the rankings criteria in order to be considered.
We hope you find the information included in this issue useful as you make decisions about your operation.

Invest In theIr Future
From selectIonSelecting the best replacement heifers is critical to profitability and improving a herds’ genetics. Breed associations and seedstock producers have long relied on Igenity® DNA technology and now cattle producers can capture that power, prediction, and confidence in a cost-effective replacement heifer DNA-based selection tool.
to collectIonThe ElectroJac® 6 combines the best of more than 30 years experience in au-tomated semen collection instrument design and manufacture, with state-of-the-art technology. With its unique automatic and manual settings, Elec-troJac is the perfect field unit for even hard-to-collect bulls.
to productIonNeogen provides the highest quality of products for beef production, from calf pullers and obstetric equipment to working and vaccination tools. Neogen offers a range of syringes and needles, including the unique D3 Needles™, which are the most durable needles on the market and are three times stronger and stay sharper longer than conventional needles.
