Several provinces and municipalities in south Africa have been severely affected by recurrent
natural hazards such as floods, drought, epidemics and a combination of these. Although it has
been possible to prevent such hazards from becoming disasters; the severity of such hazards and
fragile infrastructure have contributed to vulnerabilities and massive loss of life and properties
including environmental destruction.
NCUMA Risk Management Consultancy (NRMC) therefore exist to develop integrated
development policies and protocols that assist Municipalities, Government and Private sector in
promoting disaster resistant infrastructure such as roads houses, public places, work places, etc.
Integrated risk management policies and protocols are linked to effective early warning systems
and information management systems.
NCUMA Risk Management Consultancy further invest in developing risk management plans,
capacity building and training in disaster risk management, workplace health and safety,
resilience and sustainable development plans.
