New Relief Sewer vs. Existing Interceptor Sewer
Who is the Contractor?• McNally/Kiewit ECT JV (Euclid Creek Tunnel
contractor) will perform trenchless work from Triangle Park to Euclid Creek Pump Station
– Duration: 9 months; January - November 2014
• DiGioia-Suburban (ECPS/LBRS contractor) will perform open cut work on Lakeshore, East Park & Crestland
– Duration: 26 months; January 21, 2014 – March 15, 2016
– Work west of Marcella cannot be started until November 6, 2014
When Will Lakeshore Blvd. Relief Sewer Be Operational?
• The relief sewer will begin operating in September 2016, about 6 months after construction ends
• Euclid Creek Tunnel and Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station have to be operational first
– Euclid Creek Tunnel construction ends April 2015
– Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station construction ends September 2016
