Opening of new building
Opening from 4th March 2013 providing:
• Services from four GP practices
• Community services provided by Your Healthcare
• Other services including pharmacy, diagnostics, audiology, community dentistry, mental health
Primary care services
The four GP practices moving into the new
building from 4th March 2013 are:
• Berrylands, Brunswick, Langley and
Central Surgeries
Patients will retain their relationship with
clinical staff. Phone numbers the same.
Proposed outline for the GP practice move
• Medical records moved under secure procedures 21st -23rd February
• Probably emergency appointments only on 1st and 4th March
• Surgeries close at noon on 1st. Phone calls handled through Out of Hours service.
• Moving on Friday evening and Saturday• Sunday cleaning and setting up with staff for
opening at 8.00am Monday morning.
Other services available on referral
• Ultrasound • Breast screening • X-ray • Minor procedures • Cardiology • Psychological therapies & memory services• Community dentistry
Note these and others will be opening on a phased basis during the coming year
Mental health services
• Service providing psychological therapies to treat depression and anxiety
• Also substance misuse treatment – for people addressing drug and alcohol problems
• Provided from the Surbiton site and at 16
other venues across the borough
Some useful facts
• 1 in 4 British adults experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem each year
• 91% of people with mental health problems are treated in primary care
• Of those receiving treatment in these services only 15% will be for substance misuse
Community services delivered by Your Healthcare
• Temporarily moved to the Tolworth Hospital site July 2011
• Returning to the Surbiton site on 11th March 2013
• Usually accessed when patients are referred by a health practitioner

Heritage lottery bid
• £44,500 Heritage Lottery Fund grant to capture and preserve the history of the Oakhill area and health care and education in Surbiton
