We warmly welcome NEW students and families for Orientation on TUESDAY AUGUST 18
It is essential that all new students attend their sessions and that all parents attend the afternoon session
If you have children in multiple divisions, please plan accordingly. Parents may not be able to attend all sessions,
there will be more possibilities in the coming weeks to attend sessions and meet the staff.

13.15 - REGISTRATION: All families arrive at the Sports Centre, register according to your family name and receive welcome pack. There will be important information tables set up in the Sports Centre and we encourage all parents to visit the tables (open until 16.30) – see map (p.4) for reference. Light refreshments will be available. .
13.45 – WELCOME SPEECH: Head of School, Dr Chip Barder, welcomes families in the Sports Centre
From 13.50 – Students leave Sports Centre at staggered times to start their Division Level Programmes

Gather at the Elementary School Meeting Point in the Sports Centre with their parents. At 13.50 ES Deputy Principal, Stephen Lush, will lead the group (students and parents) to the Centre for the Arts. ES Principal Megan Brazil will welcome families in the Centre for the Arts before students start their Orientation Games

Students will take part in Orientation Games with ES Counselors, Tom Cole and Anissa Zotos.
Parents are encouraged to utilise this time to complete the registration checklist (p.5).

FAMILY TOUR OF THE SCHOOL ES Faculty Members will take ES Families on a tour of the school in Grade Level Groups starting from the Centre for the Arts. Please look for your Grade Level Sign. The tours will end at the Grade Level Leaders’ homerooms where students will be collected by their homeroom teachers.

FAMILY HOME ROOM VISITS Students and Parents will have the chance to visit their classroom and spend some time with their homeroom teacher who will explain what will happen on the first day and week of school.
16.00 – 18.30 WELCOME BBQ ON THE CANTEEN TERRACE
ELEMENTARY STUDENTS Grades Discovery, Kindergarten 1, Kindergarten 2 & Grade 1

Students and Parents meet at the Elementary School Meeting Point in the Sports Centre. They will be met by Deputy Principal, Nitasha Chaudhuri, who will take them to the Early Childhood Centre (ECC) Gym where ES Principal Megan Brazil will welcome families then they will be collected by their homeroom teachers.

HOMEROOM VISITS Parents and students will spend this time with their classroom teacher and new classmates. At 15.20 parents and students will be taken on a campus tour by ES faculty members.
15.30 – 16:00
FAMILY TOUR OF SCHOOL Parents and students will be collected by ES faculty members for a short tour of the Campus.

Admissions/Nurse: Complete admissions process and submit any missing documentation.
Canteen—Purchase lunch vouchers and register for canteen lunch for Discovery to Kindergarten 2 students.
Technology—New parents register for a Tech Info Session (see p. 6 for times).
Service Learning—Find out more about student led community service opportunities.
UNIS Music Academy, Aquatics and Co-Curricular Activiites Programmes—Learn about the many co-curricular activi-
ties available for students and community programmes for adults.
Language Help Desks— Meet our wonderful Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese Community Representatives who are
happy to help answer any questions you may have in your native language.
Parking Permits/School Bus— Register for vehicle parking permits and the school bus.
SCO— Meet our parent volunteers and find out about how you can get involved in your child’s school!

It is essential to sign up for one of the Technology Training Sessions. Our Tech Team will guide you through key
elements of our online systems including the website and ISIS family. You will need these tools to sign up for Parent-
Teacher Conferences and After School Activities, check student reports and update family contact information. Stop
by the Technology Information Table during Orientation to register for one of the following timeslots (limited space
is available for each session):
