Dear Parents,
We are all very excited about the Variety Concert to
be held tomorrow evening. Students and teachers have
been working hard to make sure that this is an enjoy-
able evening. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Next Thursday the Year 6 children will participate in
the first of three sessions of a transition program
funded by the School Focus Youth Service. They will
take part in activities organised by the Elevate group
and will meet other Year 6 students from our cluster
of schools. This is a great opportunity for the students
to get to know some of the children they will be in
Year 7 with in 2011.
The junior students are looking forward to the footy
match on the last day of term. Hopefully, the oval will
have dried out enough for it to be used.
Fingers crossed!!
Today the Year 4,5 and 6 students are participating in
the Athletics Sports. We wish the children an enjoy-
able and successful day.
Enjoy the rest of your week and see you at the con-
cert!!!

The grade 5/6 students are assisting with the or-

an umpire willing to do both games. If you can

are very simple! We ask that all spectators add to the atmosphere by
wearing or waving something to indicate their team.
Children are divided into red and white teams (the
school colours). In the event of wet weather we will still
have the hot dog lunch but will postpone the match.

Carefully-selected students arrive in early February 2011 from Europe, the U.S.A., Japan and Canada. Check out our bro-chure BRING THE WORLD TO YOUR HOME on the Southern Cross Cultural Ex-change website www.scce.com.au . If you want to seize this opportunity, contact S.C.C.E. on 1800 500 501( we may have a representative in your area), fill in the Host Family Application Form (also on our website). Colfor Schools gear, for our School! We have registered for the Coles Sports for Schools program where
Coles is giving all primary and secondary schools in Australia the chance
to get brand new sporting equipment – and we need your help!
Every $10 spent at Coles Supermarkets, Coles Online, Bi-Lo or Pick‘n
Pay between Thursday 2 September and Sunday 31 October 2010, will
earn a Coles Sports for Schools voucher worth 1 point.
We’re asking our local school community to collect these vouchers from family, friends and
neighbours to drop into the collection box we have at school.
The more vouchers we collect, the more sports gear we can get! Just remember to ask for the
vouchers when you pay during your normal weekly shop.
