Social Challenge
Kitchen Popstar Grab a wooden spoon or spatula, as well as some pots, pans or containers.
Use your kitchen drumkit to either make up your own beat or recreate a well-
known tune/song.
Photo session Use an electronic device to take a photo of something interesting throughout the
day.
Helping Hand Help out around the house
with a chore or two. You might help with the laundry, set the table, help make a meal, take
out the rubbish, feed a pet, vacuum/sweep, tidy your room
etc.
Cloud Watching
Take some time away from your screen this morning
and unwind. Go outside and lay on the ground. Look up at the sky and watch the
clouds go by.
Relaxing Corner Find a cosy corner and do
something that you find relaxing - read a book, play
with toys.
Reading (10 - 15 mins)

MUST DO This week, you have been assigned your reader/s in Wushka. Each day, you can either:
- Listen to your reader - Read your reader to yourself - Read your reader to someone - Complete the comprehension quiz at the end
CAN DO Some additional activities could be:
- Write down all the sight words from your text and list them in alphabetical order - Find all the adjectives (describing words) and then come up with a synonym for each - Identify all the digraphs throughout and create a list of the words for each digraph - Create a ‘word bank’ of any new and unfamiliar words you found, then find and draw/record their definition

Weekend Recount - Sizzling Start
Learning Intention: Write a recount of your weekend on
the template provided.
Try to add a sizzling start at the beginning to catch your
teacher's attention.
Underline any Magic words you identify in your writing.
Fairy Bread Procedure Learning Intention: To order steps followed in the form of
a procedure.
Using the Procedures PPT (on google drive) to discuss
with students what a procedure is, using the example provided. This
PowerPoint highlights the different parts of a procedure.
Use the procedure (cut and
paste) steps to help you make fairy bread.
Have students retell the procedure and how they
made the fairy bread themselves.
Complete the cut and paste procedure for making fairy
bread. Ensure it has

Magic Word Sentence Writing
Using your magic words, write 3 interesting sentences. You may use more than one word

1. Measure 1 cup of cold milk. Add this to a blender.
6. Add a swirl of whipped cream to the top of your milkshake. Enjoy!
