7-8-2019: A big Thank You to Bill D. Corwin and Kyle Pieper for taking charge of the Pickleball Tournament. There was a great committee help-ing. The committee included Bill W. Corwin, Beth Goedken, Helen Turner, Joe Kobes, Laura Holms, Pat Arthur, Donna Larson, Ed Arnold and Leray Glenden-ning. We had many Rotarians show up to help at the Tournament, which was awesome! The Pickleball Tournament had 68 players. Northwest Des Moines Rotary won the traveling trophy. The feedback from the players was positive. Smash Park was happy with the Tournament and I think is willing to help us again, next year. The tentative date for next year’s Tournament is April 25th. Better start practicing! When you combine the income from the raffle tickets and the Pickleball Tournament, over $10,000.00 was raised. Joe reported that more raffle tickets were sold this year than any other year. Thanks to everyone who sold tickets. This money will go in our Service Above Self bank account.I have been working on our Facebook page. We really need more people to follow our page. Please invite your friends to follow us.
