Our Aspirations for New Ways of Working & O3Hub
New Ways of Working (NWOW) Recap
• The Western Sydney Local Health District has adopted activity based working – we call it New Ways of Working (NWOW).
• O3Hub is the first New Ways of Working space in Westmead Hospital.
• Activity based workplaces are flexible, multi-purpose and make the best use of space.
• They provide clear zones for different types of activities: high focus, medium focus and low focus work, and areas to recharge and socialise.
• People don’t have an office or an assigned desk, but everyone will have a place to sit and work every day – it just might not be the same place every time.
• There are etiquettes for working, including guidelines about clearing your workspace at the end of the day and how long you can leave a work point unattended.
Working in O3Hub: Our Etiquette
1. We challenge ourselves and our old habits, and use our new environment to test new ways of working (NWOW).
2. We choose work points that best suit our activity.
3. We are mindful of O3Hub work zones and those around us.
4. We are one team - we work together to make NWOW and O3Hub a success.
5. We take care of O3Hub.
Strata Group
• We have a Strata Group to help us manage any high-level issues and the day to day operation of O3Hub.
• If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions or issues working in O3Hub, contact your manager or strata representatives Julie Clarke (Finance) and Sandra Jones (Clinical Governance).
