HRET PfP Listservs Update For 2014, HRET has restructured the PfP Topic Listservs to engage more effective peer-to-peer interaction. To provide some context for those of you who are new to PfP, HRET (Health Research and Educational Trust– part of the American Hospital Association) hosts several PfP topic-specific Listservs (email lists) to facilitate sharing, discussion, and questions among hospitals within the 31 HRET PfP states across the nation. In short, these Listservs are a fantastic tool for networking with peers and subject matter experts in over 31 states participating in the HRET PfP Network. See below for a summary of changes to the Listservs for 2014:

1. Several topics have been combined to form two new Listserv groups: Infections: CLABSI, CAUTI, SSI, VAE, and C. diff (optional topic) Other Harm: Falls, Pressure Ulcers, and VTE

2. There are new Listservs for OPTIONAL Topics: ICU Harm: Iatrogenic delirium, sepsis, acute renal failure and failure to rescue Procedural Harm: Procedural harm, airway safety and undue exposure to radiation

3. The following Listservs are staying the same: Adverse Drug Events (ADE) OB/EED Readmissions CAH/Rural Affinity Group

If you are already subscribed to one of the old Listservs, your subscription will be transferred to the new combined list that includes the topic to which you originally subscribed. You will receive notification that you have been removed from the current Listserv and added to the new one upon completion.

To join one of the new Listservs, follow the instructions below: 1. Visit www.hret-hen.org 2. Log in to the website using your hospital user name and password 3. Click on the red "Click Here To Join the LISTSERV” button on the top left side of the home page 4. Complete all fields in the form and click “submit” 5. Your request to be added to the LISTSERV will be fulfilled within two business days

For questions about the HRET PfP Topic Listservs, send an email to [email protected] or contact your Oregon PfP Improvement Advisor.
