According to the Sydney Plan, a “30-minute city” is one where, no matter where you live, you can easily access the places you need to visit on a daily basis. As Sydney and London evolve as polycentric cities, how are we addressing liveability? Are we successfully creating 30-minute cities? How are both cities planning for rapid growth and addressing key issues such as housing delivery and transport provision?

NLA invites dialogue between Sydney and London to share best practice and learning. A live video seminar, taking place simultaneously in both cities, brings together speakers and audiences to foster cross-city dialogue.

This event is a key part of the NLA International programme which brings cities together for discussion and debate.

Peter Murray @PGSMurray / @nlalondon Chairman, New London Architecture

Peter trained as an architect and was editor of Building Design and RIBA Journal before starting Blueprint Magazine in 1983. He has curated a number of major architectural exhibitions. He is a Visiting Professor at IE University in Madrid and Hon. Sec. of the Bedford Park Society.
