2020 PREPAY CONTRIBUTIONS If you opt to PREPAY 2020 contributions, please place the
Prepay in an envelope clearly labeled “PREPAY
2020” (please note it on the memo portion of the check,
also). To assure proper credit, please be sure your name
and address are also on the envelope. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter.
ADVENT GIVING TREE To assist our mission, we are reaching out to help provide a
Christmas for disadvantaged families. The tags on the tree
include the name and suggested item(s) for the individual.
We ask that you spend $30 for the gift. Place your gift in a
gift bag, or appropriately wrap, include the tag on the gift,
and put it under the tree.
Those wishing to give a monetary contribution, we will
support the Community of St. Paul and H.A.L.O.
The Advent Giving Tree will be in the church vestibule the
weekend of November 30th - December 1st. Gifts should
be placed under the tree no later than Sunday, December
15th. Contact the parish office if you have any questions.

POINSETTIA AND WREATH SALE The JPIIA school Poinsettia Sale is taking
place until December 1, with delivery that
week. If anyone is interested they can
contact their favorite 7th or 8th grader or
Susan Chiapete at (262)880-6089. In addition to the beau-
tiful plants and wreaths from Milaeger's we will also have
gift cards! Thank you.
CATHOLIC CEMETERY The Holidays are quickly approaching, and we are pleased
to announce that the Catholic Cemetery Association of
Racine will, once again, have “Remembrance Wreaths”
available for families to purchase. The 24” wreaths will
soon be delivered from Northern Wisconsin, and will be
ready to be installed at your loved one’s gravesite, on a tri-
pod stand, starting the week of November 25th. The
wreaths will be placed, as ordered, at each of our four
cemeteries: Calvary Cemetery, Holy Cross Cemetery, Holy
Family Cemetery and Old Holy Cross Cemetery. The cost
of the wreaths will remain at $30 each. If you would like to
order a “Remembrance” wreath, to honor your deceased
loved ones, for the upcoming Holiday Season, please call
our office at (262) 639-1071.
PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR 175th Anniversary Closing Mass
November 24, 2019 at 11:00am
All are welcome to join us at the Cathedral of St. John the
Evangelist in Milwaukee to celebrate the closing of our
175th anniversary year. A reception will follow in the Ca-
thedral Atrium directly after Mass.
INFORMATION FOR LECTORS The new 2020 workbooks for Lectors, Gospel Readers,
and Proclaimers of the Word are here. They will be on the
table in the ushers room. Please take the time to pickup
your new book.
ALTAR FLOWERS Are you celebrating an anniversary, a birthday of a loved
one, etc. and would like flowers placed at the altar? Ar-

You may donate gently used clothes to help those in need.
A basket is located in Haban Hall where you can place

WINTER ITEMS NEEDED During November, we will be collecting new – or gently
used and cleaned hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves for stu-
dents at John Paul II. Many of the students are from under-
privileged families, and they arrive at school during the
winter months without these items. A basket to put them in
will be in the entry to Haban Hall starting November 2nd.
Your help is appreciated.
ST. VINCENT DEPAUL DONATIONS Donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and household
items can be made at the (SVDP) Racine Center, located at
926 LaSalle Street. The center is open from 9:00am to
12:00pm on Saturdays. To schedule pickups of large furni-
ture items call 262-633-6467. The items donated will be
organized and sent to the SVDP Thrift Shop now located
in Waterford, WI.
LITTLE RED HENS SEWING PROJECT During October we made and donated 144 pieces of cold
weather clothing (quilted jackets, hooded fleece jackets,
fleece hats, mittens and ear warmers) to the following
schools:
John Paul II Academy, our parish school.
Wadewitz Elementary School, our neighborhood
school.
Knapp Elementary School, highest poverty rate in
Racine Unified School District.
HUMAN CONCERNS Christmas Bake Sale & Missions Sale
Weekend of December 7th & 8th in Haban Hall
Packaging Friday December 6th from 9 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
Your help is needed to help package and label items for the
bake sale. We will need any and all types of COOKIES,
including Christmas or decorated cookies to fill our special
boxes and Ethnic cookies!
LABEL any bakery that has nuts, peanut butter
or gluten free items separately.
We will take any other bakery items you wish to make—
small/large Breads, Cakes, Pies, specialty cookies, candy
bar cookies, decorated rice krispies, etc. Proceeds are used
for monetary awards to parishioner 8th grade graduates
who will attend St. Catherine’s High school, nursing home
bingo parties, purchasing materials for Mission ladies, and
funding of other Human Concerns Projects. Questions?
