Issue 20 ~ 15 December 2015
OUR VISION ~ ‘Every Child – Every Day’
Final Newsletter
I can’t believe this is the final newsletter for the year, time has flown by. We have had a very successful
year at Bracknell Primary school and I thank you all so much for your dedication and support to our
students, to staff and to me. Together we make a difference. I would like to take this opportunity to
wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again in 2016.
Farewells
We are really sad to say goodbye to Mrs Howell this year. Mrs Howell came to us in a literacy support
role half way through last year and quickly became a valued and loved member of staff. We wish Mrs
Howell all the best in her new role at Exeter Primary School and thank her for her input into the
education of our students and her friendships with staff.
Mrs Howell will be replaced by Mrs Kim James who will be joining us from Evandale Primary. Mrs James
has a wealth of experience in all grades and curriculum areas and we look forward to her joining our
team.
We are also farewelling Bec Cameron our chaplain after a fantastic year of additional support to our
students. Bec delivered extra-curricular opportunities to students, as well as supporting respectful
relationships across the school. We will miss our Second Bite Tuesday morning snacks with you and
your friendly face in the playground.
Presentation Evening
What a great night of celebration. Our students are to be congratulated on the way that they conducted
themselves, particularly those who co-presented the night. Congratulations to all award recipients and a
special thanks to our donors and sponsors for your continued support.

Last Day Arrangements
Our end of year assembly will be held on Thursday 17 December commencing at 11.30am followed by
lunch at 12.45pm. Traditionally lunch is provided by the students and we ask that their parents/carers
send along something to contribute towards the luncheon - sandwiches, sausage rolls or savouries are
great ideas and far more filling than chips or lollies. Please keep in mind how much your child would eat
for lunch as in previous years we have found demand exceeds supply! Parents and carers are very
welcome to attend our final assembly and join the staff and students for lunch.
