    Depending on the type of application,

    a fan has to meet a variety of require-

    ments. Selection criteria may include the

    following:

    Required flow rate

    Overall external pressure

    Power input

    Degree of efficiency

    Space required

    Means of control

    LTG has developed a wide range of types

    offering the right fan for any application.

    It ranges from low to high pressure fans,

    including the perfect fan type with suit-

    able performance characteristic for any

    given operating point.

    LTG offers standard models and specifi-

    cally designed models to meet given in-

    stallation requirements or for integration

    into existing systems.

    Based on customer requirements, LTG

    high-efficiency fans are designed e.g. for

    use in process engineering, the chemi-

    cal industry, ventilation engineering and

    mechanical engineering. Materials are

    selected in compliance with the indi-

    vidual application. Standard models are

    made of welded sheet steel and surface

    finished using a protective paint. For

    increased chemical, thermal, and abra-sion resistance we offer special finishes,

    coatings, and materials such as cor-

    rosion and acid resistant steel or light

    metal alloys and high-strength antiwear

    surface finishes.

    Computational Airflow Simulation

    Using specific simulation tools (CFD) the

    flow path through or alongside machines

    and installations is calculated, visual-

    ized, and optimized. It can dramatically

    reduce the fluid mechanical design time.

    Engineering parameters can be directly

    transferred.

    Experimental Airflow Visualization

    Making airflow visible helps to show the

    flow within processes or to confirm com-

    putational simulation results.

    Example: Airflow Simulation System

    A complete air flow simulation system

    was integrated in the tight space of an

    existing test lab. It is used for aero-acou-

    stical analysis under real and exact re-

    producible test parameters. Maintaining

    tight tolerances of the airflow prof ile and

    the turbulance rate allows for exact veri-

    fication of the test results.

    The outlet velocity and outlet area can

    be modified to match customers specific

    requirements.

    Type VAN

    Welded steel housing. Blade made from

    high-alloy cast aluminum, for highest cir-

    cumferential speeds and optimum effec-

    tiveness. Shaped impeller blades. With

    optimized air intake nozzle for chamber

    installation.

    Type VAH

    Welded steel housing. Blade made from

    high-alloy cast aluminum, for highest cir-cumferential speeds and increased pres-

    sure levels, maintaining optimum effec-

    tiveness. Shaped impeller blades. With

    optimized air intake nozzle for chamber

    installation.

    Type VAR

    Welded steel housing. Blade made from

    high-alloy cast aluminum, for highest

    circumferential speeds and optimum ef-

    fectiveness. Shaped impeller blades, ad-

    justable at standstill. With optimized air

    intake nozzle for chamber installation or

    with flange for pipe installation.

    Special versions

    Special anticorrosive version:Sandblasted, hot-dip galvanized, rubber-

    coated, stainless steel. Hot-gas version

    up to 200 C (390 F).

    For gaseous media with low particles content

    Type VRK

    Bolted rectangular housing. Welded im-

    peller with optimized air intake nozzle

    and cover plate. Backward curved impel-

    ler blades. One side completely open for

    use as air outlet resulting in low dynamic

    pressure loss and about 25 % saved pow-

    er input compared to squirrel cage impel-

    lers. Compact dimensions. Low noise.

    Stable pressure characteristics. No mo-

    tor overload in case of varying installationresistance.

    Type VRS

    Stable welded spiral housing. Welded

    impeller with optimized air inlet bell and

    cover plate. Backward curved blades.

    High degree of efficiency and compact

    dimensions, even at high conveying pres-

    sures. Steady pressure characteristics

    with possibility of unlimited throttling and

    parallel operation.

    Type VSR- ..H

    Stable welded spiral housing. Weldedimpeller for highest tip speeds and high-

    est pressure levels at optimum efficiency.

    Backward curved blades. For high de-

    grees of efficiency and increased con-

    veying pressures. Suitable for direct duct

    connection.
