What is The Paleozoic EraThe Paleozoic Era is time period hundreds of million years ago. The dinosaurs were alive during the Paleozoic Era.
What Animals Were Alive During The Paleozoic Era
BECAUSE...Shallow seas covered most of the continents... Most of the living organisms during the Paleozoic Era consisted of oceanic life forms. Early in the era, most organisms were invertebrates. These animals looked like clams. Soft-bodied animals like sponges also lived at this time. Coral was very plentiful during this time.
Environment Plant life took a little while to
take off, but in the Carboniferous period the
foliage thrived. The remains of the Carboniferous plant life are
what form most of today's modern coal. However, this
abundance in foliage declined by the Permian period and
continued past the Paleozoic era into the Triassic period.
ClimateAt the start of the Paleozoic era the climate was moderate and changing between stable and unstable. However, near the
mid Paleozoic the climate stabilized to support all manner
of land-roaming life.
Interesting Facts Did you know the Paleozoic Era had the first reptiles. It also had
the first large land animals(amphibians-frogs). The Paleozoic Era also had the first insects , first large land plants ,
and first fish with jaws.
