Please pray for. .
Pope Francis encourages us to “imitate the attitude of Jesus toward
the sick: He shares their suffering and opens their heart to hope.”
We also remember those who have died. Jesus reminds us “ I am
the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in me will never
die.”
We encourage you to call the office for prayer request. The request
will be placed in the bulletin. They will remain listed in the bulletin
until you notify the office to have the name removed.
Please place the prayer list in a convenient place so you will re-
member those listed in your daily prayers.
Catholic Moral Apologetics
Father John will be offering a Catholic Moral Apologet-
ics class for adults starting on September 2nd. We will
meet in the Driscoll-Murphy classroom starting at
6:30pm. We will be using the video series and materials
by Trent Horn and the Catholic Answers titled
“Evidence for Catholic Moral Teaching”
In accordance with the CDC and Austin Diocese guide-
lines Saint Luke Catholic Church is now conducting
Masses at our normal times. We are currently restricted
to the 50% capacity limitation. For Saint Luke that
means that we can allow 200 parishioners in the church,
chapel, and 200 more in the parish hall if necessary. So-
cial Distancing is still in effect with pews marked with an
X on the floor if it is not to be used.
The Bishop’s dispensation is still in effect for those who
feel that they are still at risk and cannot attend Mass.
Please observe the following guidelines when attending
services
Enter & Exit through Main Church Doors only
Face Mask strongly encouraged to be worn
Hand Sanitizer provided in Narthex
Maintain Social Distancing
No social gathering in Narthex or Church
ONLINE Giving - You will find a link on the home page
of our website www.slparish.com .Simply click on the
link and place your donation.
CHURCH CONTRIBUTIONS - after all Masses, offering
baskets are available in the narthex of the church.
You may also mail your offering to our parish office
or bring them by the office during the week. We all know
that these are extraordinary times and our stewardship of
God’s church remains an essential part of our ministry.
Thank you all so much for your continued faithfulness
and dedication to our parish now and always!

A message from Bishop Vásquez
A prayer for those suffering
from coronavirus
As the coronavirus pandemic persists, I offer
this prayer from the Catholic Health Associa-
tion of the United States: Merciful God, hear our
fervent prayer for all who suffer from the corona-
virus. May those who are infected receive the prop-
er treatment and the comfort of your healing pres-
ence. May their caregivers, families and neighbors
be shielded from the onslaught of the virus. Give
solace to those who grieve the loss of loved ones.
Protect and guide those who strive to find a cure,
that their work may conquer the disease and restore
communities to wholeness and health. Help us to
rise above fear. We ask all this through the inter-
cession of Our Lady of Lourdes, and in the name
of your Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, now and
forever. Amen.
