WEEK 2 TERM 4 Commencing Monday 22nd October 2018
Welcome to the second week of an extremely exciting term at Parkview Public School. The new term started in fine style last week as we welcomed 13 new students to our community and enjoyed some very productive Personalised Learning Plan Conferences with parents and carers. Thanks is extended to everyone who took the time to engage in these valuable planning opportunities. The new week at Parkview started with School Photos today which will be returned to families later in the term and will also include the commencement of our STEM Share program which will extend over the next 6 weeks. The week will also be highlighted by a number of community, cultural and sporting opportunities for our children. Please consider the following as you plan your week:
Grandparents Day Parkview Public School will continue the tradition of celebrating Grandparents Day when we hold our traditional morning tea and open classroom activites this Thursday, 25
th October.
Activities will commence at 11am with a shared morning tea followed by activities and classroom visits from 11.30am. A morning tea pre-order form was distributed last week and was due back at school today. Last minute orders will be able to be accepted up until 10am tomorrow (Tuesday). We look forward to seeing all of the grandparents in our community in the school on this day to share in the learning environment with their grandchildren. LCOPS Chess Competition Final The finals of the Leeton Community of Public Schools Chess Competition will be conducted in the Parkview PS Hall thisTuesday, 23
rd October. Parkview will be represented by 12 students in this event. Interested community members are welcome to attend
as spectators. Stage 2 Borambola Excursion A reminder to parents of children in Years 3 and 4 that the Stage 2 Borambola Excursion is approaching very quickly and will depart Parkview at the start of next week (October 29
