behaviorally important.o Perceptions vary from person to person.
Different people perceive different thingsabout the same situation. But more than

Attribution Theory: Judging Others
Our perception and judgment of others issignificantly influenced by our assumptions ofthe other persons internal state.
When individuals observe behavior, they attempt todetermine whether it is internally or externally caused.
Internal causes are under that persons control External causes are not person forced to act in that way
Causation judged through:Distinctiveness -Shows different behaviors in differentsituations.
Consensus - Response is the same as others to samesituation.
Consistency - Responds in the same way over time.

Sensory receptors receive information from the environment,
which is then combined with previously stored informationabout the world which we have built up as a result ofexperience.
For example:
Human beings may differ because of their differences &uniqueness. People often see the same situation/ phenomenondifferently within the organization & outside the organization.
For example:
when there is an accident in the factory, the supervisor maytreat it as the carelessness of worker while the worker maytreat it as lack of adequate provision of security measures..

As we say, The meaning of something willchange when you look at it differently.
You can look at anything differently and itwill have a different meaning.
There is no fixed meaning to anything.
You can always change perspectives andchange meanings.
Why not change them to what you preferthem to be?

sensation can be seeingsomething for the first time,
you are learning about it.perception is how we viewthings with our ownexperiences. such as if you
were to put your finger to thestove (don't do this) your senseswould send messages to yourbrain and you would learn thatthe stove is hot.
perception is the way weinterpret our sensations. suchas, if you see a car down the
road, your eyes see that it issmall, but your perception tells
