Material samples provided by Niovawe:• N22: Niobium Thickness 4mm to cavity:
Results of tensile tests in rolling and transverse direction:Rm= 196.9 +/- 2.9MPa / 191.9 +/- 1.3 MpaRp0.2= 79.4+/- 3.9MPa / 71.5 +/- 2.6 Mpa
A(%)=62.4+/- 4.0% / 61.2 +/- 2.5%
• N23: Niobium-Titanium Thickness 25mm to beam tube:Results of tensile tests in rolling and transverse direction:
Rm= 551.1 +/- 29.5MPa / 542.0 +/- 23.4 MpaRp0.2= 545.4+/- 30.4MPa / 540.6 +/- 24.2 Mpa
A(%)=17.0+/- 0.8% / 16.1 +/- 3.2%
• H8: Niobium Rod Thickness 16mm to beam tube:Results of tensile tests are NOT satisfactory:
Rm=173.3 +/- 2.4MPaRp0.2=168.1 +/- 4.3 MPa
A(%) = 3% +/- 2.5%
CONCLUSION: The Rod material is not annealed
