Skin:Its body is bright green, and the sides are blue with pale yellow stripes.
Eyes:Bright red eyes may startle predators.
Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are named for their large, bulging, red eyes. They prefer rainforest areas
close to rivers. They grow 2-3 inches (5-8 cm), eat bugs, and have powerful long jumping
legs with suction cups on the toes. They are nocturnal, which means they are active during
the night and sleep during the day.

Feet:Each foot has toes with a sticky pad at the end that is used for climbing.

How to “make” a fossilWhen you find fossils, you don’t usually know how old they are—after all, they don’t come with tags that say, “I’m millions of years old.” And if we believe the Bible’s record of history, we know fossils can’t be that old anyway since the earth was created only about 6,000 years ago.
Fossils can be fun to make. With the help of a parent, you can make one by following these simple instructions:
What You Need:• Petroleum jelly• Plaster of Paris• Objects for making prints: twigs, seashells, pine cones, chicken bones (boiled clean) or your own hand.• Old baking pan
Steps to Make a Fossil: Idea: Buryyour new fossils in sand or dirt, invite a
friend over and have an expedition to dig them up like a paleontologist.
For more fun ideas visit AnswersMagazine.com!
Spread some petroleum jelly on the object(s) you are going to use to make
an imprint into the Plaster of Paris.Following the instructions on mixing the Plaster of Paris, mix enough
plaster to put about an inch (2.54 cm) of the mixture into an old baking pan.Gently press the object, or your hand, into the plaster until you have
made a dent into the surface of the Plaster of Paris mixture.
Lift out the object or your hand after making an imprint in the mixture. After the mixture dries, take the fossil out of the baking pan and ENJOY!
• Warning: Be careful not to push your hand or the object all
the way into the plaster. It might get stuck. • Note: When plaster starts to cure, (or set) expect the pan to get warm.

Fact:All land-dwelling dinosaurs, not on
Noah’s Ark, died in the global Flood.
Fact:Animals were buried rapidly as the Flood deposited
soft layers of mud and sand that later turned to stone.
Fact:Fossilization occurs as animals lay buried
deeply beneath Flood sediment.
Fact:Fossils become exposed as the ground around the animal erodes away.
Hi boys and girls! My name is Buddy Davis, and I like to hunt for fossils—especially dinosaur bones! I’ve found fossils in places like Florida, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas and Alaska. I am also a “paleo-artist,” which means that I like to build life-sized dinosaur sculptures.
DINoSAuRS: Fossilized while Fighting?Did you know that scientists discovered some amazing fossils of two dinosaurs that look like they were fighting? In 1971, they found these two dinosaurs in the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. The fossils are of a Velociraptor wrapped around (fighting?) a Protoceratops. The Velociraptor‘s hands appear to be grabbing the head shield of the Protoceratops while its sickle-like claw goes deep into the Protoceratops’ body. The Protoceratops has the Velociraptor’s right arm in its jaws. Were they really fighting? We simply don’t know. What we do know is that they were buried in this amazing position, which looks like they were in a fight. So what could have caused these dinosaurs to be buried so rapidly that they didn’t have a chance to
escape? The answer can be found in the Bible. The Bible tells us in Genesis about a Flood that covered the whole earth.
A fossil is any sign of life from the past, like part of an animal
or plant that has turned to stone or left an impression or outline
in stone. This can happen fast, and it doesn’t require millions of
years. One way a fossil can start, is when living things get trapped
in mud or sand during a flood. When the rock hardens under the right
conditions, the plants and animals that were trapped turn into fossils.

Velociraptor was a member of the Dromaeosaur family.
This type of dinosaur had a large sickle-like claw on its
back feet. They may have used this for disabling their prey.
Protoceratops was one of the smaller members of the Ceratopsians. Unlike
many of its cousins, such as Triceratops, it lacked the prominent brow and
nose horns. However, it still retained the large shield and parrot-like mouth.
Fossils of these two dinosaurs were found in Mongolia. The fossils seem to show that they were fighting just before they were
trapped and buried in sand. The extremely rare fossil shows one of the raptor’s claws embedded in the Protoceratops’ neck. As
Christians who trust in the Bible, we know that these dinosaurs were fossilized as part of the Flood that God brought in Noah’s day.
