PABC Family, this is Pastor Walter with some important information. We have kept the church office open during these days and we want to continue to do this as long as possible, but we are making some changes to how we are
operating so wanted you to know about these changes. We are restricting access to the church office to just our PABC staff members. If you come by the church office the small lobby just outside the office is open but the glass window and door will remain closed. If you need to pick something up or drop something off it can be done there. We are also restricting access to the other buildings as well. Our church staff is a valuable asset during these days and if one of us becomes ills it would create an even greater burden on the others. Are we living in fear, no we are using the "sound mind" God gave us so we can continue to minister to our church family and community. For the time being the church office hours remain the same: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and closed Noon-1:00 for lunch. We appreciate your understanding and help in this matter. We are praying for you as we know
you are praying for us.
Portland Parents, our Whiz Kids
office provided several FREE sites that we
thought you may find helpful as you adjust to
the new "learn-at-home" for public schools.
(They could be helpful to our many home-
school families as well!)

-Audible has introduced Audible Stories,
which offers a number of classics, such as
“Winnie the Pooh”, “The Jungle Book”,
“Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, “The
Call of the Wild” and more. Audible Stories
can be accessed on your computer, tablet or
smartphone. There is no log-in or personal
information required; just visit
stories.audible.com, click “start listening” and
let the stories come alive.
-Prodigy is a free, addictive, progressive
math game for ages 5-14. The game is al-
ways free, but the website is adding even
more educational value to families with its
constantly-updated list of resources for fami-
lies — which includes their own daily sched-
ules. (https://play.prodigygame.com/)
Know that we are praying for you as you and
your kids adjust to the NEW NORMAL.
ALSO, a little reminder . . . Buchanan is
providing FREE "Grab & Go" lunches every
day for kids, 18 and under.
One way PABC can be on mission in our city is to
help with this need. If you are out shopping could
you purchase a few of these items and drop off at
the church. We are here Mon-Thur 8:30-Noon and
1:00-5:00 pm. We will see that the items are deliv-
ered to Positive Tomorrows. If you're not getting
out to shop, then have the person who is buying
for you purchase a few items and we can pick
them up from your house. Another option is to
make gift to purchase items. Mail a check to the
church but mark the memo line with Food4PT or
you can give online and choose Food4PT from the
dropdown box. Here's the direct link to our giving
page: portlandavenue.org/giving.
